Chapter 194 - Advent of Varick Star IV

'Found it,' smiled Pharaoh as he began to recite the incantation written by Rin's Uncle John.

"Stars above, bear witness now.

Ancient fires bound to endless night; Stars within, answer my call.

Sparks of creation waking in my sight. Let heaven's silence bend and part.

Let constellations bow to will and thrall.

By astral law and celestial oath, I cross the veil into the realm where mortal flesh and divine will converge."

He said as starlight started to seep into Obsidian Vault and gather around cell AX3 before rushing into the array drawn on the floor, which was composed of Rin's zodiac symbol (Libra), elemental alignments (light, darkness, fire, water, wind, and earth), weapon affinities (sword & scythe), blood connections (Archangel, Divine White Tiger, and ???), and a few other symbolic fragments of Rin's life.

But the most important part of this entire array was the star constellation carved into it, which signified the Star Path Rin would be embarking on. Along with the astral body he would be forging, which correlated to the Star God of Chaos, known as Varick, an entity of disorder, catastrophe, destruction, and capriciousness.

But that is beside the point, for as starlight was drawn into the array, it began to subtly transform from a ruby spiderweb into a silverish constellation of shifting symbols. Just as the beast cores arranged around the array were drained of their energy and turned into dust.

Causing the array to twinkle like the stars in the midnight sky as ancient glyphs and runes awoke, one after another like dominoes. Leading to the appearance of a purplish portal forming above Pharaoh's head, who sat peacefully in the middle of the array like a monk in deep meditation.

'... that was fast. Welp, I guess it's time to finally meet some old friends,' smiled Pharaoh as he was sucked into the portal and transported to the Star Realm.

Simultaneously, as Pharaoh was transported to the Star Realm, the World seemed to pause as the stars in the Universe rearranged themselves in a variety of shapes and figures. As three ghost-like beings awoke and briefly gazed at Earth with surprise before retracting their gaze, and peering into a realm made of stars and silver mist.

Where Seven Gods forged from stars, each with their respective constellations governed, a realm older than Chaos and Creation, where numerous cultivators came to prove their might and grit to become stronger than their enemies.

While also earning a chance to gain a physique that could rival even the physiques of some Saint Bodies or higher, depending on the amount of Solaris obtained. A unique energy found solely in the Star Realm formed from the collective effort of the Seven Star Gods, who use their divinity to manipulate the Stars within the Cosmos.

To harness their cosmic energy and transform it into something suitable for all beings to absorb and use. Yet while usable, it comes at a cost.

Since, depending on the Star God you want to follow, this energy can become either a curse or a blessing. Considering that once you've absorbed and refined Solaris, you're now not only connected to that specific Star God's Divinity, but also their universal alignment. Which can be differentiated into good and bad of the lawful, neutral, and chaotic camps.

But for now, that's all you need to know... so let's see how Pharaoh is faring in the Star Realm.

"Hmm, besides the trip here being smoother and more colorful, nothing has truly changed. Since the last time I was here," muttered Pharaoh as he took in his surroundings.

After being teleported from Earth to another dimension in a higher plane of existence, where various cultivators from different universes and backgrounds stood in lines before doors made of starlight, each containing slightly varying constellations. Related to a particular Star God and their respective trial to unlock your Seven Celestial Stars.

"Hmm, truly time waits for no one," muttered Pharaoh with a sigh as he began to move through the crowd toward Varick's door. While reminiscing on how much had changed since his time.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing, country bumpkin? Don't you see we are all in line waiting to be registered and assigned a number to challenge one of the Seven Star Gods trials?" A young monk dressed in a cream long-sleeved shirt and pants shouted once he saw Pharaoh maneuver past the line of anxious cultivators toward one of the Star Gods' trials.

"Huh? Is something the matter?" asked Pharaoh as he stopped and faced the monk, while the rest of the crowd just watched the altercation with interest.

"Of course! For who gave you, a weakling from the lower plane, the power to bypass the rules and regulations created by the Seven Star Gods? Plus, while I normally would not care about such things, who are you to pass me as I wait in line patiently for an opportunity to attain a Celestial Star? When I have been waiting in line for three hours to reach the front of the line," The monk said with passion as he riled up the emotions of those waiting in line.

"Who the fuck does this fool think he is?!"

"Truly, people from the lower plane are worse than parasites!"

"Wait, wasn't someone appointed as a regulator for this realm by the Star Gods? Who oversees and protects this realm from troublemakers and those with bad intentions?" said a bare-chested kid with scars across his body, who was wearing orange shorts and sandals, as he exited the line and walked toward the monk and Pharaoh.

"Hold up! Now that I think about it, this could all be resolved by the person at the front of the line just asking the receptionist at the front to call Mister X. So that he could remove this weakling from the realm for his disregard of the rules established by the Star Gods."

"Is that really necessary?" Pharaoh asked, since this would be going against the promise he made with Artemis. But from the looks of things, trouble was just his middle name, so it is what it is at this point...

'Forgive me, Artemis, but it would seem peace was not something Fate woven into the tapestry of my life.'

"Haha! Now you want to change from your wicked ways, weakling? Well, unfortunately, that isn't something you can do now, so keep quiet and stay here while someone goes to get Mister X." The one who started this entire mess laughed as the bare-chested guy walked to the front of the line to report Pharaoh.

'Welp, it seems I might as well meditate, as I wait for this Mister X to arrive and kick me out.' Pharaoh thought as he sat down and entered a meditative state.

Causing the outside world to quiet down as he only focused on the rise and fall of his chest, as his heart entered a rhythmic state with every breath he took.
