3 MONTHS LATER
Jishnu wakes up from his bed with a book on top of his chest.
As Jishnu was always asleep during the day because he exhausted his astral reserve, he stopped getting sleep at night.
He sees this as an opportunity, and Jishnu sneaks into the library at night with candlelight to read books related to this new world starting with the history of the kingdom he was currently in.
"400 years ago, there lived a child,a slave, that was bound by the contract. When left by his master to die, the child awakened and walked the path of revenge. When his path ended, he found love, made his life and his own kingdom, his own rule that bound both nobles and common folks, and now he lives a great life."
"The story of the king" Jishnu read the book that talked about the history of this world."If the king was alive, he would have been the main character of this world,"
Jishnu said as he dropped the book on the floor. He stretched out his arm while sitting on the chair and thought of arranging the book.
The book started to float and move in the direction where it was kept on the shelf.
" YEAH!" Jishnu said with a smile, and then he fell unconscious. For the first time in his life, his abilities worked the way they should.
1 YEAR LATER.
"Have a good day, kid," Ivyn said."Same to you, uncle," Jishnu replied as he walked out of the inn.
For the last year, Jishnu was known by everyone that worked at the inn and regular customers that came to the inn.He could now use his ability five times before falling unconscious.
but that is only for books that are near him, not the book he needs to arrange at a longer distance, like 20 m, which requires more astral energy and results in him having only one chance of using it before being knocked out. This was not the only thing that happened.Philip took some time out of his office work to teach Jishnu, saying that he was at the age where normal children get their basic education.
So his time was split into him working in the morning and studying in the evening, then reading books at night.
As the evening hour came, Jishnu walked into Philip's office.where he was putting up the black board for the lesson.
"Oo, you are here. Sit down. I was late because I had some work to finish. Let me put up the blackboard, then we will start the lesson."Jishnu sat down, waiting for Philip to set up the things. After setting up the board and the books, Philip turned around and started teaching."Today we start with the history of the kingdom of North Niflheim, where the sun never shines."
Now Jishnu was in that kinda of situation where classes are taken by that one teacher who the whole class hates but still needs to learn his subjects because it the core subject.
As the lessons were continuing, Jishnu asked a question."Sir, why do we spell books in the library?"
"Obviously, because it's a library," Philip answered, confused.
"No, sir, not like that; I was asking in a different way."
"Sir, if the noble families are territorial and greedy people who don't love to share their knowledge with others, then why do we have this many books, and would it not be a problem for them if some other mage studied it?" Jishnu explains his question.
"Mmm,the answer to that is why I am grateful for you to work here in my place."
Bell's rang inside his head the moment JishnuI heard what Philip just said.
He knew that all the puzzle pieces were coming together at this moment.
As he waits for Philip to continue.Seeing the curious face of Jishnu, Philip reminisces about himself.
But coming out of his trace, he continued."Jishnu, how much do you know about awakening?"
Suddenly hearing a question, Jishnu became annoyed but still answered his question.
"Awakening is a process in which one's body awakens either astral energy inside their body when they are compatible with astral energy in the environment, which in turn gives humans and any beings their ability, and they continue to awaken their ability until the age of 17, with a 3-year gap in each awaken ability."Hearing the 6-year-old answer his question so smoothly, Philip felt light pain in his chest.
(He is so bright; would he have lived a different life if I were not that greedy?)Philip was slowly being eaten up by guilt. It was one of the reasons Philip took time out of his work to teach Jishnu the basics so he could cope with the guilt that was eating him up from the inside.
"Yes, what you said is true, and it was what 'they' "wanted the world to know."
"They?" Uncle Philip, who are "they"?"Jishnu asked with curiosity, as it was the first time he heard about "they.".
"Jishnu, 'they' are the strongest people in the world that govern the workings of the world, so let's leave the topic about them away, as it can be dangerous to even mention them."
Jishnu was shocked to know that there are people in the world who are so strong that even mentioning them is dangerous.
Seeing that Jishnu also attempted it, Philip continued."The real truth of the awakening we go through is just the tip of the iceberg."
"Tip of the iceberg?"
"Yes,the awakening we all go through—you, me, and even Ronald was just a partial awakening where our bodies released some of their potential, but it's just nothing more. Until we achieve full or true awakening, we can never achieve what others did, who now sit at the top of the world." Philip stated.
Hearing it, Jishnu understood that he was entering another league of unknowns in the world where once someone stepped in, there was no turning back alive.
