"Oh Mr.lucas,what a pleasant surprise ,a subbed visit huh?"
Ronald said with smile on his face
Mr.lucas or Philip's uncle walked into the room in a well dressed manner but because of his body structure that resembles a weight lifter with his stomach and chest nearly the same level with bulky shoulders he looked more dominant and wild like beast that was ready to lash at any second.
"Yes,I was just scrolling through the city and ended up here so I thought I should end this day after paying you a visit "Mr.lucas said as he sat on the chair opposite to Ronald.
They continue to talk and exchange word as Ronald brewed themselves a coffee .
As the sun was setting Mr.lucas put down the coffee cup on the table.
"Ronald,i want you to do me a favour "
"O yes, Mr.lucas ask away" Ronald knew his limits and knew mr.lucas would not ask him to do anything unreasonable.
"Ronald,do you know my nephew Philip ?"
"Philip, yes i know him, he is a hard working child and does every jobs truthfully" Ronald said with calm face with a light smile.
Ronald had good impression of Philip because of how good he was and even considering of taking him as his disciple and passing on every knowledge he had to him.
Hearing which a dangerous light passed in Mr.lucas eye which was missed by Ronald.
With a smile in his face mr.lucas continued.
"So you know my nephew then it makes it alot easier then I will cut to the chase actually my favour included him"
Hearing the last part Ronald was already willing to nod at whatever Mr.lucas was about as he picked up his coffee cup toke a sip of it as he wait to hear the rest.
"I want you to help me force him to comit suicide "
The moment Ronald heard it the coffee cup in his hand fall on the table and spilled coffee allover the table.
But without mind it mr.lucas continued.
"You see my son he is genius and have chance of attaining our family heads positions in future but my four nephew's are even more of a genius them him like how I and my brother used to be, losing my right to succession only because he is more talented."
Mr.lucas said with the last part with little bit of anger hidden in it .
"but its all in the past now I have chance to take what is mine rightfully in this generation because the both the eldest of nephew's are only good with sword having zero political skill and the youngest he is just like the eldest two but the middle one Philip he is different from the rest he knows the political play's that our family elders make to gain power and he loves all his brothers equally, if he support even one of the three they will become the next family head without any exception with Brain and brawn combinated together there is no chance of my son getting the head's position.
So I want you to help me to push him to his death" Lucas stated looking into Ronald eye.
Ronald was in daze hearing all of it not knowing what to say.
But the clear intensity from the eye that were on him awake Ronald from his daze state.
Seeing the eye that was looking at him Ronald understood that what he is going say will change his life forever.
with determine eye Ronald said .
"No, Sir I can't help you with that request"
Even though he was afraid Ronald knew that Lucas can do anything him until he worked at the library and Lucas did not have the power to remove him from his position either.
So he was confident that he was safe further more if he were to inform this Lucas brother/Philip father Lucas will be force to run for his money.
As determination filled his eye Lucas who saw it sighed and turned his head towards setting sun.
As the the last bit of sunlight started diminish and darkness covered the room.
Lucas spoke
"I heard your son-in-law and daughter was expecting there second child"
The moment Ronald heard it he felt chill down his spine and fear overwhelmed him but at the same time anger burst out as he yelled.
"YOU DARE,YOU BASTARD"
But the next movement this word come out of his mouth the temperature inside the lowered.
As the cold eye looked at him Ronald understood that he had crossed the line.
Lucas with his cold eye continued.
"the city wall are not the best place for them now give birth to their second child because after the monster raid the guards around that area are lawless, recently there was case of five gurads r*ped a pregnant women on the open streets that to under the eyes of the public and infront of her husband but after some time the news was that she and her husband committed suicide together leaving her five year old daughter to the orphanage."
As the words sipped into his mind Ronald rushed to Lucas and kneeled infront of him as he held his legs as tears ran down Ronald's face.
"Please Please Please i will do anything please don't hurt my family please "
Ronald cried on his knees begging for his families safety.
But Lucas on the other hand stood up as he saw the crying Ronald who held his leg in his hand begging.
"STOP!"
A single word was more than enough for Ronald to stop crying and loise his grip on Lucas's leg as he looked as Lucas's face in daze he saw him walk away from him.
Ronald become more afraid as Lucas moved closer to the door he wanted to stand up and run toward him and stop him but he couldn't he felt no strength in his leg nor could he speak as if something was stuck in his throat.
As Lucas reached near the door he stopped and looked behind him as he spoke.
"I will give you twelve months and in that twelve months I want Philip dead I don't know how you do it or where you do it I just want him dead"
Say this Lucas walked out the room leaving behind the weak Ronald sobbing in the middle of the room.
