4 YEARS LATER
"Jishnu, why are you always reading?" a girl asked Jishnu, who was reading a book under the tree in the evening.
"Greta, don't disturb me."
Jishnu said this without looking at the girl, only hearing her voice as he immersed himself in the book he was reading.
Jishnu, who is now 4 years old, has golden hair and blue and red eyes that make him stand out a lot.
"But mother said to bring you home today to celebrate your birthday as you will become 5 years old," Greta said.
She was the only daughter of Anna and David, who was also like a sister to him as he was not only taken care of by the orphanage but also by Greta's mother, Anna.
He still lived at the orphanage because both Anna and David did not have the financial support to adopt another child in their house, but that did not stop them from showing their love for him.
Hearing it, he closed the book in his arms and stood up, then said:
"Okay, let's go."
He moves to Father Benedict's room to inform him that he will not be there at the orphanage for the night.
As he entered the room, only to be welcomed by a messed-up room, he was assaulted by a strong scent of alcohol, but without flinching, he looked at the man who caused all this mess.
Father Benedict was lying on the table, drooling all over it, with his arms holding on to a bottle of alcohol on the table.
After Lloyd and Jose return to their family,
Joe was sentenced to prison by the mortal safety federation for endangering the lives of mortals for self-gain, and Roar sent some people to look after the orphanage and also help renovate the building for free.
Father Benedict, who had saved some money for renovation, went back to his pocket and used it to start a new hobby for himself called gambling.
He reached a point where he even started to drink alcohol to mourn his loss, but he still did not stop.
as he became a full-time gambling addict.
He was not replaced by anyone even after he broke the rules of the church because no one wanted to come to this orphanage because of the danger that larks in the forest nearby, and no one would volunteer here either.
"Father, I will not be here for the night," Jishnu said.
"mha..mmm.hmmm."only to get this kind of reply.
He walks out and meets up with Greta as they move to Greta's home.
ANNA'S HOUSE
After reaching the house, Jishnu was welcomed by Anna and David with a smile on their faces.
"Jishnu, come inside; everybody is here," Anna said as she opened the door.
"Happy Birthday"
Jishnu was surprised not because of the sudden greeting but because of the number of people who were present here to celebrate his birthday.
Jishnu, who always put distance between himself and everyone because he knew how messed up his world was in his previous life and that this was not that kind either, and also because he is an introvert,
Greta, who was standing behind him, jumps in front, pulls him by the hand, and moves towards the table.
where a small cake was set up for him to cut for his birthday.
"Happy birthday to you!" With it, the cake was cut by him, and the party started.
Villagers talked to each other, and children played with each other.
"It's my birthday; I should loosen a bit."
Jishnu, who always reserved himself for everything, was now having fun with everyone.
As the night came slowly, one by one, the villagers and their children went back home.
Both Jishnu and Greta were now sleeping in a bed in Anna's house, as both were tired after playing for the last two hours.
"Anna, why are you acting kind towards that kid to the point that you throw him a birthday party?" David asked Anna, who was sitting in the chair across the table, after everyone left for their house.
David knew his wife very well and knew that she was not kind enough to throw a party for a kid that she did not know about until five years ago.
Hearing this, the sweet smile on her face was replaced with a wicked smile.
"Because he is unique..." Anna said as she looked at her husband, who was obviously not understanding it, then looked at the room where Jishnu was sleeping, but before continuing, she stood up and walked to the door, closing it.
"David, do you remember that day when the village was hit by the flood?"
"How can I forget that day?" "It was my first time ever seeing a mage in my life, like how he came flying down from the sky, saving us," David said, which felt more like a fun boy talking about his idol.
"Yes, that's what we all saw, but I saw something more."
"More?" he asked, hearing what Anna said.
"Yes, a boy; no, a 7-month-old infant that was standing on his feet looking at the water that was flowing towards us with a petrified face." "A kid at his age at that time could not even differentiate between danger and safety, but he was scared, which meant he understood what he was facing." Anna said.
"What are you saying, Anna?" "How can he understand that he was just born and that no kid can do it unless..."
David paused as he was shocked by the unrealistic thought that passed through his mind.
Seeing David's shocked face, Anna said
"Yes, what if he is from a great family bloodline?"
Hearing this, David's brain worked overtime.
"Wait, that explains his unique eye colors and his calm demeanor every time I see him, but what is it in for us, and even if Jishnu is from a big family, he was abandoned by them possibly for being a Bastard child."
David knew his wife would only do things for gain. Even the reason she went to feed that kid was because of the rumors that had spread through the village that the father had requested the Roar family to safeguard them from the flood, and if the rumors were true, they could move to the orphanage in the name of feeding the kid.
"Even if he is a bastard child, he is still born into a big family, and that fact still stands," Anna said as he closely observed the room to hear if that kid woke up from the noise they made.
"But I still do not understand why you are looking after him, even saying to our daughter to always stay close to him," David asked lightly as he saw Anna looking towards the room where Jishnu and Greta were sleeping.
"Because of his blood, if he is from a big family, his chances of awakening are high; no it is fixed that he will awaken even if he is not a pure blood of the family, and the ability he will awaken will be more powerful than any peasant living here in his village." Anna explained.
"I am still not getting it," David said.
"Which fool did I marry?" Anna said after hearing what her husband said.
"Listen carefully," Anna said as he explained.
"Two months from now, the coming ceremony will happen at the orphanage, in which he will participate." "Not only us but also the big family of the city will see about his abilities, and if his abilities are as powerful as I predicted, they will recruit him into their family, and then we will start our act in a way that will force him to repay us for the kindness we showed him."
"Will he really repay us?" "You did say that he was far more mature than the child you saw?" David asked after hearing the plan.
"David, a child is always a child; even if one acts mature, there is still a child in their heart that we cannot change." Anna looked at the door and said,
"And we will use that truth to marry him to Greta, which will secure her future and also ours."
Jishnu, who was soundly sleeping in the bed without knowing the schemes that Anna was playing,
