Due to always having the belief of being able to always stay in control of my thoughts and actions, I subconsciously was always reinforcing the nocebo effect. Because I believe that alcohol doesn't really affect me, I have absurdly high alcohol tolerance and am still able to keep extremely fast reaction speeds even whilst heavily intoxicated. More specifically, I always assumed alcohol has more of an affect due to people wanting it to have an effect and like using it as an excuse for bad behavior. Essentially using it as an excuse to release subconscious limiters.
The same goes for pain killers. Because I don't believe they'll have much of an impact, they haven't ever really done much.
