"Okay, I'll leave you be..." said the young light spirit.
To him, it seemed very clear that Zinnia did not want him to gaze at her or to gaze at him. What he doesn't realize is that the moment he would turn around, the moment his gaze would lift off of her, she'd turn to gaze at his back or even simply his shadow. Truth is, she really doesn't want to meet his gaze. Despite her actions, she can't shake this overwhelming loneliness, no, emptiness.
"Bye..." he muttered as an array of lights shone down on his incorporeal body before he disappeared from the garden.
....
When I opened my eyes again, I was once again in The City of Light. The City of Light was a place where all light spirits could access at the bat of an eye, while other creatures had to go through a perilous journey to simply arrive at its gates. It was essentially a haven for friendly creatures and light spirits alike, a place of refuge that had within itself many gardens. Each garden was unique, and with each unique garden only certain light spirits were allowed into them depending on the garden's preferences. The ultimate first goal of each young light spirit was to "connect" with some being from nature that resides within the gardens they can enter.
