Diya turned around before Ajay could see her face to hide the fact that she was blushing. Ajay waited for her to turn around again and when she did, he immediately apologized. "Sorry, it wasn't my intention to say it bluntly but it's the truth Diya. I wasn't ignoring you and I never will"
"And... the circumstance we got married in doesn't matter to me. You're my wife and I'll treat you the way you deserve to be treated." Diya had decided to never trust men again after her past totally broke her and she had maintained to do just that. Strangely, she couldn't stop the urge to trust the man before her.
"I'm sorry. I just-"
"It's fine. There's no need to explain and I understand how you would've felt. I'll try my best to make you comfortable all the time and I'll start by getting used to sharing the bed with you."Diya chuckled seeing Ajay's determined face.
"You're so cute." Both of them were shocked after Diya blurted out the first thing that came to her mind. She stared at him with widened eyes. 'What the hell did you just say Diya? We were having a serious conversation. You're so dumb.'
Ajay felt his jealousy from last night completely disappearing. 'She said I'm cute.'
"Can... we go? It's getting late." Diya wanted to reach the kindergarten as fast as possible so she can escape from this embarrassment. "Sure," Ajay said with a bright smile and started to drive again.
After arriving, Diya got out of the car and waved Ajay goodbye. "Drive safely."
Ajay waved back and waited until she disappeared from his sight to drive away.
All the teachers were happily chatting in the teacher's office when Diya walked in, something that can't be seen when Rowan was there. Diya greeted everyone 'good morning' and sat in her chair.
She waved at Mrs. Kala. "Thank you so much for replacing me these last two days, Mrs. Kala."
"No worries, dear. Your kids were continuously asking about you. They missed you a lot." Diya nodded at her and stood up; gathering her things for the class.
She knew that the police had visited the kindergarten for inquiry about Rowan so she understood the reason for everyone giving her pitying looks. She ignored the looks and walked to her class to see her kids. She had missed them too.

Ajay was in his office; looking through an important file when his secretary knocked on his door. "Come in."
"Sir, there are people here to visi-." Ajay knew who was there to 'visit' him so he stopped the secretary midway and signaled to let them in.
Ajay saw a furious Kavin entering his office followed by Sara. "Welcome uncle. What brings you here?" he asked him politely. Kavin glared at him and barked, "You don't know?! Give the order to release Rowan right now. I heard the victim didn't even give her statement in person."
"No, I won't and yes, I didn't want her to meet him again," Ajay said; his polite tone long gone. "You brat! I knew this would happen that's why I advised Akhil not to take you in. But he didn't listen. Now, look at you being ungrateful because of a mere prostitute."
