Alex wanted to rack her brains up when she felt his breath in her ears. She stiffened and her hair at the back stood straight. She wanted to turn around but she could not shake her thought out of her head.
"How are doing right now?" Alexander whispered in her ear.
She put on a fake smile and sighed.
"That was a relief. I thought he would notice me thinking about them. Hayst." She thought.
"I'm fine. Thanks." Alex replied with a smile.
His fingers ran through her hair and clipped it at the back of her ear. She felt electricity from her body that made her perk up to him. He smiled at her and she was stunned. Her smile was frosted in her face but her eyes were telling a different story.
Her face looked shocked.
"What is this guy doing to me?" She shouted in her mind. She wanted to think about possibilities but her mind is telling her to calm down and remain cool and still. Her heart pounded eagerly and felt her cheeks heat up.
"Compose yourself Alex. We can do this some other time." She thought to herself.
Alexander noticed her face.
"You look so..." His voiced trailed off.
Alex looked at him intently, waiting for him to continue.
"So creepy." He continued.
"He said I was creepy? Was I horrifying or scary?" She thought for a moment and she looked at him with her eyes bulging and fake smile face.
"Am I creepy to you?" She tauntly asked him.
"Well you look like one." He joked.
Her brows knotted and she gritted her teeth. She was furiously looking at him but diverted her attention to the food. She started to eat everything on her plate.
"Alex, you look so hungry. You might become an elephant with that appetite of yours." Monique mocked her.
"Don't tell her that. She still looks beautiful and she must gain weight somehow. She needs it." Andrea buts in.
Alex rolled her eyes at Monique. She turned to look at Andrea and she gave her a wink. She smiled at her in return. She felt her heart warm up. She felt appreciated. It was not long ago that she felt this feeling. She glanced at someone and felt her heart pounded so fast. Although she felt her heart ache for this person, she still appreciated the new relationship that this person is sharing it with her.
There was a long silence. Everybody was busy eating and just enjoying the scenery in front of them. You can only hear the clattering spoons and forks against the plates. The chattering of people takes other people minds busy. The restaurant was at full force and a lot of people are now entering the restaurant.
The sun started to peak up in the line of the sea as many people arrive with their families. The sky is blue and has scattered cirrus clouds and cumulus clouds. The sunlight radiated the whole table and the waves crashing gently on the shore. Alex's eyes stayed relaxed on the scene before her. The rustling palm trees made music to her ears and the sea breeze is refreshing to her. The feeling of euphoria bringing her to her own world. She excused herself, stood up and walked to the balcony of the restaurant. She was now in a daze.
"If only I could have this with me all the time, it will be wonderful. I hope it won't end."
The wind blew her hair and she felt fresh air fill her lungs. She inhaled it and felt refreshed.
Her mind flew as she savored the moment.
"Reminiscing is really a great thing to give your mind a break. I wonder how much it takes time as if it never ends. It relaxes every part of your body like taking a break or giving yourself a vacation."
She was caught off guard by that voice.
She turned around and she was shocked. She stared at his figure stunned. She felt her mouth want to say something but nothing came out. Her jaw dropped and closed at the moment he turned around.
"His tug on my heart is just mesmerizing. I should be careful." She thought to herself.
"Does it?" She finally composed something out of her mouth.
He stared at the view. His hair blown by the wind. His skin glowing from the basking sun.
She scanned at his features.
"I just realized he could pass as a beautiful man." She thought about it and giggled. Her thought of him from a man turning to woman brought chills down her spine. She tried to suppress her laugh and turned to the view instead. The sun's warmth longed in her cheeks making it pink. Her eyes glistened like the sea. The water sparkled clearly as the sea mirroring the sky and the peaking sun.
"I never knew morning would be this beautiful, so breathtaking and calming." She mumbled. A smile formed on her lips.
"Shall we go?" A man asked.
She turned around and saw a face smiling at her.
"I better go. Thanks for the insights." She said.
The beautiful man nodded and stared at the view.
"Another mysterious guy? Why do I have to deal with this again?" Her voice full or irritation and echoed in her mind.
"He is captivating in any angle." She mumbled.
The man turned to her and asked, "Did you say something?"
Alex cheeks turned pink.
"Nah, it was nothing. I have to go." She nodded her head and hurriedly walked away. She looked away never wanted to look back at the man.
The man stared at her disappearing figure.
"She is quite a catch. She intrigues me." He mumbled.
Another man approached him and said,
"Sir, our meeting will start in 5 minutes. Our table is now prepared. Our guest is here."
The man turned around and said, "Thank you. I have a favor to ask."
"What is it sir?"
"May you look up at the girl in black leaving the restaurant? I would like to have her name and her background." He asked with authority.
"Yes sir, noted."
The man left and went to his meeting and the other man lead him to the reserved table with their guest. He excused himself and followed Alex as fast as he could.
Alex hurriedly looked for Alexander. She could not see him because there were a lot of people in the restaurant.
"You seem lost." Andrea spoke.
"Oh yes Aunt Andrea. I am looking for Alexander. Have you seen him?" Alex asked.
"This son of mine doesn't know how to take care of his date. Tsk." Andrea thought.
"I think he is outside my dear. I may have a hunch he is there." Andrea suggested.
"Oh ok, thanks." Alex said. "Oh and Andrea..."
Andrea looks at her.
"Thank you for the breakfast."
Andrea smiled at her and hugs her tight. She hugged back and smiled. She felt accepted for some reason. She had a gut feeling that she will be her mother soon.
"Why do I have this feeling that she will be someone I will be close to. It felt like another level from being her aunt to a mother." She thought. Her face flashed with panic but she kept it like nothing is happening inside her head.
They parted away and she nodded at Andrea. She went outside to look for him. She did not found him. She went for the washroom and stared at her reflection.
"I should fix myself a bit then." She thought.
She brought out her makeup and stared at her mini kit. She washed her face with her Ponds facial wash and took a drying towel to pat her face dry. Then, she took her Quick Fx Tinted Moisturizer and applied evenly on her face. She applied MAC Powder in NC 20 on her face. Next, she brought her Benefit Fool Proof Brow Powder 3 to apply it on her brows. Then, she got her Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. With her brush, she carefully applied Golden Ockre as her base shade. Next, She applied Realgar on her crease. She pats the color down and spread it until she is satisfied. Then, she applied Cyprus Umber at the end of her eye, patting it lightly until the color packs up. She finishes off with Primavera on her lids. With her Charlotte Tilbury Rock n Kohl Iconic Eyeliner in Bedroom Black, she glided a cat eye perfectly on her upper lash line. After applying eyeliner, she took her Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara and applied it on her eyelashes. Then, she got her MAC Matte Lipstick in Mehr and applied it on her lips. Lastly, she puts on MAC Powder in NC 20 to set her makeup. Now that she is finished, she looked one last time in the mirror. She took her brush out and fixed her brown hair adding some curls at the end. She looked satisfied on her overall look and she felt her heart flutter with joy. She stepped out of the washroom and sat near a bench outside the restaurant to wait for Alexander. The air felt so fresh suddenly a breeze made her hair lift into the air. She applied some hair conditioner to her hair making it soft and manageable so she can easily fix them. She was fixing her hair when she heard a man beside her.
"May I seat with you miss?" He asked her.
