Chapter 3 - Goodbyes of Love 3

He cooked lunch while Alexa took a bath. By the time she stepped out of the bedroom, everything was already prepared on the dining table.

What Alexa didn't know was that Alan had secretly mixed powder into her juice.

After lunch, Alan excused himself and went into his study, waiting for the drug to take effect.

Meanwhile, Alexa stayed in the living room watching television. Minutes later, an unusual heat slowly spread through her body. Her breathing became uneven, and her thoughts turned hazy.

Confused by the unfamiliar sensation, she curled herself on the couch, trying to calm down. A soft moan escaped her lips as the strange warmth continued building inside her.

From the slightly opened study door, Alan silently watched her.

Desire darkened his eyes as he enjoyed seeing Alexa helpless beneath the drug's effect.

After nearly two hours of watching her suffer, he finally gave in and walked toward her.

That night, they drowned themselves in pleasure until exhaustion claimed them both.

The following morning, Alexa woke up early while Alan was still asleep.

Quietly, she reached for his phone.

At first, she only intended to ease her growing suspicions, but the moment she opened his messages, her entire world shattered.

Her hands trembled as she read conversation after conversation between Alan and Sheena.

Then she walked toward Alan's study.

The laptop was still open.

Alan had forgotten to log out the previous night when he rushed out after hearing Alexa's moans.

With shaking fingers, Alexa opened the files on the screen.

Videos.

Photos.

Messages.

One video showed Sheena touching herself while whispering Alan's name.

Another showed selfies of Sheena lying beside a sleeping Alan.

There were countless pictures proving his betrayal.

Alexa stood frozen.

Her chest tightened painfully as reality finally hit her.

Alan had been cheating on her all this time.

Without another word, she returned to the bedroom and threw Alan's phone onto the bed.

Furious and heartbroken, she packed a few clothes into a bag, grabbed her passport and savings, then stormed outside and hailed a taxi.

"Where to, Ma'am?" the driver asked.

"To the airport. Please hurry."

By noon, Alexa arrived in Spring Country.

Without thinking much, she checked into Hotel XY, one of the most luxurious five-star hotels in the city. At that moment, she no longer cared how much money she was spending.

The moment she entered her suite, the pain she had been suppressing finally overwhelmed her.

She cried until she had no tears left.

Eventually, exhaustion pulled her into sleep.

When she woke up, night had already fallen.

After taking a bath and changing into a simple dress, she headed down to the hotel restaurant.

While eating quietly, she noticed a handsome man seated across the room staring at her with interest.

Alexa ignored him.

After dinner, she went up to the rooftop wine bar overlooking the glittering city lights across the river.

The atmosphere was romantic and luxurious, filled with soft music and expensive laughter.

She ordered a strong drink.

A few moments later, the same man from the restaurant approached her.

Because she was in no mood for company, Alexa shot him a cold glare.

"Can I buy you a drink?" the man asked politely.

"Fuck off," Alexa snapped bitterly. "I charge a very high rate per hour. Can you even afford me?"

She had already drunk enough alcohol to stop caring about what she said.

The man looked stunned for a second.

He had initially mistaken her for someone innocent and delicate.

Now, he found her even more interesting.

"How much?" he asked calmly.

"Thirty thousand dollars per hour," Alexa blurted out recklessly, certain he would walk away.

Instead, the man nodded.

"Okay. Deal."

Alexa blinked in disbelief.

Is this guy insane? she thought.

Hours passed.

The two of them simply sat side by side in silence, drinking while admiring the city view.

Finally, the man stood up.

"Charge everything to my room," he told the bartender.

He gently helped Alexa to her feet and guided her toward the elevator.

His suite turned out to be the penthouse.

The moment they entered the room, Alexa collapsed onto the bed from exhaustion and emotional stress.

Tears silently slipped down her cheeks before she eventually fell asleep.

The man stared at her quietly.

Instead of taking advantage of her, he removed her heels, covered her with a blanket, and wiped her face gently with a warm towel.

Then he called housekeeping and asked them to bring comfortable sleepwear for a lady.

When the attendant arrived, he politely instructed her to help Alexa change clothes.

"Ahhh!"

Alexa suddenly screamed the next morning.

The moment she opened her eyes, she realized she was lying in someone's arms.

Panicking, she immediately jumped out of bed.

"Who are you? Why are you in my room?" she demanded angrily.

The man lazily leaned against the headboard and smirked.

"Oh? You don't remember last night?"

"What did you do to me?"

"You told me I could spend time with you for thirty thousand dollars per hour," he teased. "What do you think happened?"

"Don't give me that bullshit!"

"So you don't believe me?" he asked with amusement.

Without another word, the man reached toward the side table, picked up a pen-like recorder, and pressed a button.

The recording played clearly.

"Can I buy you a drink?"

"Fuck off. I charge a high rate per hour. Can you afford it?"

"How much?"

"Thirty thousand dollars per hour."

"Okay. Deal."

Alexa instantly recognized her own drunken voice.

She sat down slowly, trying to remember everything.

Then realization hit her.

Oh my God… What have I done?

But after quickly checking herself, she realized nothing inappropriate had happened.

Relief quietly washed over her.

Still, she decided to play along.

"So…" she said while crossing her arms. "You agreed to pay me thirty thousand dollars per hour for spending time with me?"

"Yes, Hon. I clearly remember agreeing to it."

"Hon?" Alexa raised an eyebrow. "You're getting ahead of yourself."

"Then let's make it forty thousand per hour," he replied casually.

Alexa stared at him in disbelief.

Is he really that rich? she wondered.

Then another thought crossed her mind.

If this idiot wants to waste money, maybe I can use it to help those children.

Alexa had always loved helping orphanages and underprivileged children.

The man suddenly sighed dramatically.

"I'm hungry. What do you want to eat? I'll have it served here."

"Anything is fine," Alexa answered while walking toward the balcony. "But I want black coffee with lots of milk and one spoonful of sugar."

She slid open the glass door and stepped outside.

The breathtaking mountain view instantly captured her attention.

A few moments later, the man joined her outside.

"We should talk about what I want from you," he said seriously.

Alexa turned toward him and crossed her arms.

"Then let's set some rules first."

The man smiled faintly.

"Alright," he replied. "One week. Tell me your rules."
