The crystal eyepiece embedded in the helmet's visor was activated by magic power, first turning red as the warrior used a magic-detection vision to roughly scan the town. The goggles then switched to blue — the second-generation eyepiece's bird's eye enhanced the user's vision, immediately revealing numerous details of the small town to the observer.
