SpiderMan: New Day
Sometimes, going back isn't enough. You go back, back, and back, always fixing something, but the patches keep piling up, piling up, and piling up, until everything crumbles.
Gods, humans, aliens, and entities—all of them meddled with time, space, the cosmos, life, and death, leaving their patches throughout existence. It was no longer possible to live in patches. The One Above All made a decision: everything needed to be torn down so that something new and pure could be born. Thus, a new story would begin, a new universe 616 would start.
Faced with this, the beings who perceived the change that was coming made requests to the Creator—requests for new domains, tasks, powers, lives, and stories. Amidst so much greed, there were also altruistic requests: that there be more love, kindness, and compassion in this new world.
Among these requests, something caught the Creator's attention: a request for more responsibility in the next life.
Kwaku Anansi decided that, in this new opportunity, he would protect his totems as best he could. It was time for him to be responsible, not a 15-year-old. He promised himself that, this time, Peter Parker's greatest challenge would be choosing which girl to be with.
