As midnight approached, Situ Nan returned, empty-handed except for some fruit. Upon entering, he promptly sealed the entrance and took measures to conceal it.
Even though he tried to hide it, there was a shadow on his face.
Qu Tan'er did not speak, merely closing her eyes in silence.
"Did you go to seek a cure for him?" Situ Nan finally broke the silence.
Qu Tan'er originally didn't want to answer, but Situ Nan's next sentence caught her attention, as he continued, "It's not easy for him to recover; it seems his Mystical Soul has burned, leaving only a wisp of Residual Soul."
Qu Tan'er's expression changed, "What do you mean by that?"
