Gao Yang felt a bit uneasy. After staring at Glolov for a moment, he said softly, "I'm sorry."
Glolov looked at Gao Yang with some surprise and said, "Why are you apologizing?"
Gao Yang replied bitterly, "Swordsman was your friend, wasn't he?"
Glolov shook his head, placed a hand on Gao Yang's shoulder, and said in a deep voice, "Being on good terms doesn't mean we are friends. Actually, Nate was right; mercenaries don't really have friends."
Before Gao Yang could refute, Glolov continued, "Swordsman and I once fought side by side, and we cooperated quite well, so we were on good terms, but that's all there is to it. We were never friends. As mercenaries, the person fighting alongside you today might become your enemy tomorrow. Then, would you go easy on them?"
