Gao Yang is a northerner, his staple foods are buns and noodles. These years, he's been drifting outside, and although he often misses home, he doesn't constantly yearn to eat buns.
But when Gao Yang was a Wild Man on the African savannah, he couldn't recall the many cuisines of Huaxia, or any of the famous snacks. Whenever he felt hungry, the first image that flashed through his mind was a bun; it didn't have much taste, and no matter how he recalled it, he couldn't remember it as delicious, but the first thing that flashed in his mind when he thought of eating was always a bun. Once the staple food of buns had flashed by, he would think of something else.
Grand Ivan is Russian, and black bread and borscht hold extremely important places in the diets of Russians and Ukrainians, just like buns and noodles in northern Huaxia, rice in the south. When hungry, the images that flash in the mind are these, not lavish meats.
