Lebanon, Beirut, Beirut International Airport.
At noon on February 8th, Gao Yang and his group arrived in Beirut by plane.
The plane was arranged by the Syrian Military Intelligence Directorate, and although it was in the guise of a civilian aircraft, it belonged to the Syrian Military Intelligence Directorate.
Lebanon is essentially a vassal state of Syria, and despite some tension in recent years and Syria being preoccupied with civil war, Syria still maintains basic control over Lebanon. The activities of the Syrian Military Intelligence Directorate in Lebanon are even freer than within Syria itself.
With Dani, the recently powerful Syrian Military Intelligence mogul personally seeing them off, Gao Yang and his group could truly walk sideways in Lebanon.
Arriving in Lebanon with Gao Yang and his group, besides the seeing-off Dani, were those four Russian pilots, but Saidev's family wasn't on the plane.
