'...Where is this place?'
As the unfamiliar voice faded, the thick fog within the orange segment began to dissipate. A wave of air washed over her, saturated with the salty scent of the sea—raw, fresh, and light. Sunlight filtered through the thinning mist, causing Lin Sanjiu to squint. When she opened her eyes again, a completely different world lay before her.
She had "become" the owner of the memory. Or rather, she was like a soul that had slipped into someone else's body, now looking out through their eyes. The moment she realized this, all of the memory owner's senses and perceptions flooded her. She could feel "her" own bare feet sinking deep into the fine sand, a layer of it clinging between her toes and all over her ankles and calves.
This body felt neither pain nor fatigue. Its stomach wasn't empty, and the sun warmed its skin. 'Wherever this is,' Lin Sanjiu thought, 'the owner of this memory seems to have taken good care of themselves.'
