Aurora Town.

Ang Shi had gathered the three executives, all of whom appeared extremely reluctant.

These three executives were all over sixty years old.

Bu Luo Ke had a head that was perfectly bald and smooth, with only sparse white hair on the sides. However, his body possessed a muscular mass that would put young Soul Masters to shame. Compared to the other two withered executives, he was practically a "demon muscular man."

Pa Te had a gaunt, emaciated frame, yet his body was covered in a variety of scars.

These weren't the typical jagged scars from blades or swords, but rather the discolored, swollen patches of skin—some red, some white, some black—left behind by severe burns. He looked like a malevolent spirit that had crawled straight out of the flames.

Bei Te was the most normal-looking of the three. He appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary, kindly old man. However, if one looked closely, they could see a chilling indifference deep in his eyes, viewing human life as nothing more than ants.

Bu Luo Ke and the others were veterans of the organization; they had seen it all. However, being ordered out to deal with a small group of Soul Masters was something that hadn't happened in over a decade.

"I ask for the cooperation of the three seniors to complete the Boss's mission together," Ang Shi said.

Faced with Ang Shi's words, the three executives had nothing to say in protest.

"Rest assured, leave the matter of 'Tomato' to us. That will be enough," the eldest, Bei Te, finally spoke, guaranteeing the mission's success.

Immediately after, the group set off directly toward the Ice Powder base.

Inside the Frost Snow Forest.

Xiao Lin's group of five was currently on the move.

Two or three days had passed since the previous ambush.

The group was currently searching for traces of the Comet Snow Wolf. More accurately, they were tracking it. Just one day ago, while Xiao Lin was roasting bear paws and simmering snake soup, a certain Soul Beast had appeared before them.

It looked like a wolf yet wasn't quite a wolf; it was entirely snow-white, standing over four meters tall, and possessed a bipedal, dinosaur-like posture. It had stood there, staring longingly at their roasted bear paws and snake soup.

At that moment, to defend against the beast, almost everyone in the group had summoned their Martial Souls, as its soul power fluctuations had already reached the ten-thousand-year level.

Xiao Lin saw it even more clearly: the cultivation of this Soul Beast was over twenty-three thousand years. Had the beast not been injured, causing it to flee immediately upon seeing their guard, Xiao Lin's group would be eating fresh meat right now.

It was only after the Soul Beast fled that Xiao Lin realized, belatedly, that it was exactly what he had been looking for—the Comet Snow Wolf. As the Comet Snow Wolf ran, its tail trailed behind it like the gaseous tail of a comet.

In addition to its near-Ultimate Ice attribute, Xiao Lin had sensed a unique type of soul power within it. It was a type of soul power that even Xiao Lin couldn't quite identify. Calling it a "Chaos" attribute didn't seem entirely right.

Ultimately, it was the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings, with their vast experience, who identified the Comet Snow Wolf's true attribute. It was an attribute known as Primal Chaos.

It was this Primal Chaos attribute that granted the Comet Snow Wolf incredible adaptability, allowing it to possess an attribute that bordered on Ultimate Ice.

Xiao Lin couldn't help but feel immense regret for letting it escape so easily. He had searched for over half a month, only for the Comet Snow Wolf to brush right past him.

Beyond the regret, Xiao Lin also felt a bit of resentment toward the inaccuracy of the illustrations in the books. While the Comet Snow Wolf indeed had the head and body of a wolf, its feet were clearly a pair of avian talons—dinosaur claws!

Because they had accidentally let the Comet Snow Wolf slip away, Xiao Lin and his team had no choice but to continue their search of the Frost-Snow Forest.

Xiao Lin even had to periodically manifest "treasures" of Ultimate Ice to lure in the local soul beasts, hoping the Comet Snow Wolf would take the bait.

Reflecting on the wounds he had seen on the creature, Xiao Lin suspected they were injuries sustained from a direct clash with the Fallen ones.

"Xiao Lin, this isn't working. The Comet Snow Wolf isn't showing up at all," Shi Mo remarked, shaking his head as he watched a pack of soul beasts in the distance brawling over a cluster of Ultimate Ice crystals.

"He's right. That wolf is far too cautious," Shi Mo added, frowning in agreement with his brother.

Hearing the Shi brothers' assessment, Xiao Lin exhaled a long breath of turbid air. They had tried this five or six times already without a single sign of the wolf. Was it possible the Comet Snow Wolf wasn't attracted to Ultimate Ice?

No, that wasn't it.

"The Comet Snow Wolf is injured. It's likely being overly cautious and won't show itself in areas crowded with other soul beasts," Xiao Lin said, rubbing his temples as the realization hit him.

"Furthermore, despite its high cultivation level, many of the beasts gathered over there are its natural enemies."

Even if those beasts were individually weaker than the Comet Snow Wolf, they would likely swarm and devour such a delicious prey if it appeared while weakened.

"Let's move. We'll head to a more open area to try and lure it out again," Xiao Lin commanded, unwilling to waste more time there. He led the team toward the edge of the Frost-Snow Forest, eventually reaching a vast, desolate glacial plain.

They set the trap again, using the Ultimate Ice crystals to broadcast a lure across the ice.

As the saying goes, heaven does not betray those who are diligent.

Three hours later, the Comet Snow Wolf finally appeared.

Hiding beneath the snow and ice, the team watched the creature.

From their vantage point, the wolf was constantly looking left and right, its fox-like eyes darting about with such cunning that cowardice seemed etched into its very DNA. Only after confirming no one was around did it slowly creep toward the crystal Xiao Lin had crafted.

"Shi Mo, Shi Mo," Xiao Lin whispered in a voice so low it was barely audible.

"Understood!"

The Shi brothers responded as if linked by telepathy, waiting for the exact moment the wolf was closest to them. At that point, they would trigger their taunt skills to lock it down.

Three steps away!

Two steps!

One!

"Martial Soul Possession! First Soul Skill: Black Turtle Suction!"

The brothers roared in unison, their martial souls manifesting at the exact same moment as they unleashed their skills. As two faint ripples of light spread toward the Comet Snow Wolf, the beast finally realized it was a trap.

It turned to flee instantly, but Xiao Lin was already prepared.

In a flash, he summoned the Horned Dragon Staff and ignited three layers of Flowing Shadow Lightning Flash alongside his Blazing Power. The intense blue lightning nearly blinded the Comet Snow Wolf.

As it tried to flee with its eyes squeezed shut, its path inadvertently wavered. Seizing the opening, Xiao Lin quietly activated his Tool Soul Avatar. Under the doubling effect of the Tool Soul Avatar's immense power, Xiao Lin flickered across the ice and intercepted the wolf's path.

Standing before the Comet Snow Wolf now was Xiao Lin at his absolute peak: Tool Soul Avatar active, Charging State 3 Flowing Shadow Lightning Flash, triple-layered Blazing Power, and his Vajra Imperishable soul power and blood essence fully unleashed.

When the Comet Snow Wolf's vision finally cleared, it saw a man standing under the aurora, draped in a coat of golden flames and radiating a powerful red-and-white aura of vital energy.

With his back to the sun and the Horned Dragon Staff in hand, he looked like a god descended to earth.

"ROAR!"

Realizing there was no escape, the Comet Snow Wolf let out a desperate howl and lunged straight at Xiao Lin.
