Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Methods of a Celestial Immortal

Even as the toxin from the vines spread through his entire body, the Blood Demon Warrior showed not the slightest trace of fear. Instead, his eyes burned with madness.

He knew he might die here.

But even if it cost him his life, he would stall this opponent until Zivka arrived.

Wu Yun watched him with a faint, mocking smile.

The poison within these vines slowed reaction speed. If a Void-level Fiendgod were poisoned, they could sever part of their divine body to escape the effect.

But a World Lord?

Who would dare dismember themselves just to purge poison?

Once infected, not only would their reactions slow, their thinking would dull. Their will would weaken, making it nearly impossible to fully control their own body.

It was like placing a Universe-level consciousness inside a peak World Lord body. The mind simply could not handle it. At best, they could only exert the strength of an ordinary World Lord.

In just half a second, Wu Yun unleashed three consecutive strikes.

Each one was heavy, overwhelming.

The Blood Demon Warrior's body was shattered completely, his defenses collapsing without resistance.

Wu Yun's fingers moved like divine staffs, weaving dazzling, intricate patterns in the air.

Golden streams of light flashed brilliantly, even interfering with the live feed of the Virtual Universe.

From that moment on, Zivka and the others could no longer observe what was happening.

"How is this possible?"

Zivka's pupils shrank sharply.

"He only has the power of a fifth-stage World Lord. How did he kill a peak World Lord in just a few moves?"

He had not even completed acceleration into the dark universe yet.

Meanwhile, Wu Yun calmly collected the fallen warrior's belongings, then burst forward once more at sub-light speed.

The Duotuo Starfield, as territory of the Blood Demon King, was far more prosperous than places like the Black Dragon Mountain Starfield. Countless planets filled the region.

With just a few flashes, Wu Yun entered a vast sea of stars. After turning invisible again, he slowed down and moved cautiously.

By then, Zivka already knew.

He had lost him.

A peak World Lord's world projection only covered one hundred thousand kilometers. Compared to the vastness of space, that was nothing.

"Damn it. If I had known he was this weak, I would have gone myself."

Zivka gritted his teeth, murderous intent surging from his body. Behind him, Domain Lords and Universe-level subordinates dropped to their knees in terror.

To him, that poison meant nothing.

As a core World Lord of Blood Demon Star, he could even exchange a few moves with an Undying being.

Although Wu Yun had escaped pursuit, he remained cautious.

He maintained a low-speed flight through space while gradually adapting to the laws of the Primal Universe.

He did not need mastery. A basic understanding would be enough to use the Dao of Space for short-distance teleportation over tens of millions, even hundreds of millions of kilometers.

"This Blood Demon Trial is truly disgusting."

Wu Yun clenched his teeth.

In the Desolate Era world, he had been a Celestial Immortal, an ancestor-level figure of immense status.

Yet here, because of this trial, he had been forced into such a miserable situation.

A cold anger began to rise within him.

After half a day of travel, Wu Yun finally adapted to part of the universe's spatial laws. By adjusting how he applied the Dao of Space, he could now perform short-range spatial shifts.

Flash. Flash. Flash.

Each movement carried him tens of millions of kilometers.

With the willpower of a Celestial Immortal, he could sustain this at high frequency. After traveling hundreds of billions of kilometers, he finally discovered a life-bearing planet.

The universe was vast, but life planets were rare. Wu Yun had even prepared himself to travel for centuries.

Without a spaceship or the ability to cross the dark universe physically, relying on sub-light flight alone made long-distance travel extremely difficult.

"Fortunately, this trial region is not completely barren."

Wu Yun observed the planet ahead.

After sweeping it with his divine sense, he quietly descended.

The planet had a diameter of 17,532 kilometers and a population nearing ten billion. The strongest individual was only at the Universe level, though the infrastructure was fairly developed.

There was a basic spaceport, along with a towering blood-red structure that symbolized the supreme authority of Blood Demon Star.

Wu Yun needed a spaceship.

He had to leave the Duotuo Starfield, and even the Gulan Universe Nation, before he could safely grow stronger.

Staying here was far too dangerous.

Even after landing, Wu Yun did not reveal himself.

Killing a Blood Demon Warrior was no small matter. With the ruthless nature of a peak Undying like the Blood Demon King, this would be investigated thoroughly.

And just as he expected, after Zivka reported the incident, two Marquis-level Undying beings were immediately dispatched. Based on available data, they sealed off everything within several light-years.

"Hm?"

Wu Yun had just found a target inside the spaceport and was preparing to use illusion techniques to control a local and leave aboard their ship.

But at that moment, another spacecraft arrived.

Six Domain Lords stepped out.

The leader, dressed in a blood-red robe, coldly announced:

"By order of Blood Demon Star, from this moment on, no one is allowed to leave."

The entire planet was placed under lockdown.

Entry was allowed, but departure was forbidden.

Those Marquis-level Undying beings were not fools. From the information Zivka provided, they had already deduced that Wu Yun did not possess a spaceship.

No matter how he fled, he could not escape a region spanning several light-years.

All they needed to do was seal every life planet and wait for the Blood Demon King himself to arrive.

Finding Wu Yun would be effortless.

Wu Yun quickly understood their plan.

He had underestimated just how overbearing this organization was.

A peak Undying King like the Blood Demon King would only show restraint before entities like the Virtual Universe Company or a Universe Venerable.

"If I were an ordinary Undying or even just a World Lord, I would have no way out."

Wu Yun remained calm.

A Celestial Immortal had more than just brute strength.

The longer one lived, the broader their methods became. Though Wu Yun was still relatively young, his realm was high, and he had studied many unconventional paths.

His divine sense swept outward, first confirming that no stronger experts were inside the spacecraft.

Facing Domain Lords was manageable.

If it were a peak World Lord, this plan would be impossible.

"I have limited time. A peak Undying's detection systems could scan several light-years in just a few hours."

Suppressing his speed, Wu Yun approached the Blood Demon Star ship.

Just before arrival, a faint blue glow flickered within his eyes.

An invisible force spread outward.

The six Domain Lords suddenly became dazed, their expressions turning vacant.

Even without the amplification of Dao, Wu Yun's soul and true spirit far surpassed theirs.

Overpowering them mentally was effortless.

Unless their will rivaled legends like Hong, resistance was impossible.

"That makes things easier."

Wu Yun exhaled softly.

Still invisible, he silently began a soul search on the blood-robed Domain Lord leader.
