Chapter 4 - THE END

Please remember that this is a completely amateur series.

STAGE 22: LASREJU AND THE GAME OF MIND

The cube that emerged from Baz is destroyed by Vahura, thanks to the Tes of Will. Everyone is left dazzled and looks around in astonishment. Vahura turns to the others and says, "The reason I showed you this place is because, unfortunately, the probability of us dying is very high. You might not see it again." After waiting a moment, he creates a platform and they all proceed to move to Granq. Vahura turns to Don and says, "Hey, Don. When you were telling your story, you mentioned the side effects of the Eqia of Vision. Can you explain a little?" Don replies, "The Eqias of Soul, that are, the Eqia of Vision and the Eqia of Knowledge, consist only of vision and knowledge. Therefore, long-term use causes the main soul to deteriorate. The only way to stop this is to possess a power in addition to using only an Eqia of Soul, unlike my brother. At least, that's what Ru-edy says. However much trust can be placed in his word..." Vahura relaxes and nods in agreement. Don then turns to Derihio and says, "We've formed a team. But what about the positions and ranks? And I think we should give this team a name." Vahura turns to Abrakmat and says, "We don't have time. You come up with something, Abrakmat." Abrakmat then begins to list everyone. "Derihio will be our leader because he has the most information about Granq, the man we'll be fighting; and also, according to my intuition, he has the highest soul level among us. Don and I must be careful until we find ourselves and control our powers because neither of our Eqia is fully known. Avrutus, you will heal us with your power because Granq cannot sense you since you have no energy inside, and in a way, you don't die, and you are also invisible. And Vahura... you do what you know is right. I have complete faith in you." No one speaks, everyone is astonished. Derihio speaks. "The team's name will be Lasreju. Since I am the leader, I will be the one who is naming." he says, drawing everyone's attention. Vahura looks ahead and raises his hand. "We've arrived!" he cries. He approaches Baz, finally stops, and opens a giant portal with the power of the Tes of Will... But at that moment, they make eye contact with Granq, who is waiting for them... Granq steps back into the void the moment the portal opens, once again... (...)

STAGE 23: THE START OF THE WAR

Granq appears behind everyone, in the void. Vahura closes the portal and turns around as quickly as possible, shouting, "GRANQ!" Avrutus atomizes, Derihio leaps, forming a chain attached to his Eqia and using his anvil like a mace, ready to throw it at Granq. Abrakmat pulls Don towards Vahura, stops him, and Vahura reopens the portal, throwing Abrakmat into Baz. The portal closes, and Vahura and Don looks at Granq. Avrutus is scattered, waiting, Derihio swings his Eqia by its chain, and Vahura and Don are preparing to attack Granq. Granq speaks, looking at Derihio. "I've missed you, Derihio." he says. Derihio replies, "I'm the last person you should miss, Granq. I'm stronger now than when I was with you." Granq thinks, "So Tes and Eqia are useless against each other. I can't read his mind... This explains why I can only partially read Vahura's mind. At least I could read enough to get some information about Eqia." Derihio, swinging a chain-attached anvil, creates spikes and launches the first attack. Granq dodges and lunges towards Derihio. Derihio shields himself with his arms, but Granq bypasses him and advances towards Vahura, colliding head-on with him already advancing. Both retreat, and Granq begins to think. "Can you still hear me, Vahura? Of course you can. If you can, you also know that you're the only one I can fight right now." Vahura simply stands there, raising his right arm to form a spear. "Silence." he says, and the spear begins to gleam. The anger on Vahura's face is evident. "This weapon possesses the full power of every being I've ever seen, every being with a form... The Unique Weapon of Zo! Let's begin, Granq." he says, and slowly begins to glide towards Granq. Granq, in turn, creates a shimmering white spear and advances towards Vahura with equal speed. Vahura is surprised but doesn't hesitate. Everyone holds their breath, motionless. Granq swings his spear rapidly, it's blocked; Vahura swings his spear, it's blocked; they are so fast that it becomes impossible to distinguish them. But in the end, Granq maintains his advantage. "No being living in this void can be perfect, Vahura!" he says, and Vahura's single thought betrays him... "What if he's right?" With a single swing, Granq shatters the Eqia of Vision in Vahura's right wrist, Vahura freezes, the spear in his hand completely disappears. The green on the right side of Vahura's body gives way to yellow and white colors once again. "NOT YET!" he shouts, but Granq silences him with a single punch. Following the punch, Granq, flying at full speed, lands another punch on Vahura, who is crashing into Baz. But his punch hits the obstacle in front of Vahura: Derihio. With a single punch, Derihio sends Granq flying towards another Baz. "Don, Avrutus, you two look after Vahura. As long as I'm alive, I won't let any Lasreju member die." he says and quickly leaps to Granq. (...)

STAGE 24: THE ENERGY OF THE WAR

Granq, furiously rising from the Baz he'd hit, rushes towards Derihio. They collide head-on, pushing each other back. Derihio speaks. "You'd better be careful when using my Tes, Granq. Otherwise, I'm not responsible for what happens. Also, I want you to know that you have no chance of winning against me alone. Even though you're the bad guy... I'm the one who's been given the role of respect in this story. What you're doing is unbelievably big of an achivement, Granq. But that doesn't mean I don't hate you." Granq replies, "You talk too much, brat. That's exactly why I wanted to get rid of you... You're making me mad." He launches a swift attack towards Derihio, throwing a punch with all his might... but Derihio doesn't even budge. "Actually, I'd say, 'I feel sorry for you,' Granq. But unfortunately, you don't even deserve pity..." Derihio says. Granq retreats and thinks, "What can I do except using my last resort? If Derihio's situation is as serious as he says, unfortunately, the only thing I can do is to use my last resort." Derihio speaks this time. "It doesn't matter what plan you have, Granq. You can't defeat me." Granq lunges and attacks. "Stop talking, you annoying bastard." he says, creating the spear he used on Vahura and attacking with all his might. But the spear shatters into pieces as soon as it touches Derihio's skin. Hiding his surprise, Granq uses his Tes to restore the shattered spear to its original state. He attacks from the front, from behind. Granq searches for a weak point. Derihio grabs him by the throat and lifts him up. "I'll kill you right here, Granq... No plan can save you anymore." he says and tears Granq's right arm off. Granq screams in pain, but there is nothing else he can do. Derihio finally unleashes his rage. "Sitting in Jilid all day isn't the same as managing and training the entire Sard army, Granq! Putting yourself in terrible situations and torturing yourself to be stronger isn't the same as constantly sitting on the throne and enjoying yourself, Granq! You don't deserve anything!" he says, releasing Granq and landing another punch to his body. Granq bumps into another Baz and stops, thinking, "I have no other... choice..." Derihio glides towards Granq. "Something's wrong..." he says, but continues to advance. Granq gets up, fully healed, but his right arm is covered in something pitch black... Derihio stops and thinks, "I can't retreat now... Lasreju will stand... But why this fear? For what? Because of what?" Granq glides towards him, his expression unreadable. Derihio also begins to advance, hesitantly. As soon as they get close enough, Derihio surrounds Granq with walls and quickly retreats. "Something is very wrong... I need to reach Vahura." he thinks, and turns around, but only witnesses the walls his Eqia has created shattering. "I knew it!" he thinks, and quickens his pace. But he's not the only one speeding up... Granq moves. "All of you... Will feel my energy..." he says... (...)

STAGE 25: THE SOUL OF THE WAR

After Derihio leaves, Avrutus and Don go to Vahura. Avrutus, having regained his full form, says to Vahura, "Can you hear us, Vahura?" Vahura, suddenly regaining consciousness, replies, "I can't read minds... Half of my Eqia of Vision is broken..." Avrutus asks, "The other half is still there, isn't it?" but Vahura doesn't even speak. Avrutus heals him and says, "Although I don't like you very much, this Granq you're talking about seems very dangerous. Derihio will defeat him, but if by some miracle he loses, Granq will turn against you. You will have to get back on your feet, Vahura. Sooner or later." Vahura gets up and says, "I wonder why you trust Derihio so much." Avrutus explains, "He is an indestructible killing machine. His Eqia allows him to memorize and shape the origin and core of matter. Therefore, he is an Eqia that cannot be destroyed. He's something like the father of the term 'matter.' He can also shape and multiply his Eqia as much as he wants. He's an Eqia user whose body is incorporated into his Eqia. There is no force that can move him, no life that can stand still after a punch by him, no being that can escape his grip." Then he turns to Don, who is lost in thought. "What are you thinking? Why aren't you speaking?" Don replies, "Can't Granq read minds? Even if he can't read ours, he can read Vahura's." Avrutus says, "I've thought about it. Even if all of Derihio's secrets were known, he wouldn't be defeated. Besides, they're already fighting. So they'll either die or kill. In either scenario, this information will be useless." Then he turns to Vahura. "For now, our business is with you, Vahura. Can you continue fighting in this state?" he asks. Vahura replies, "Of course. I can never back down. This battle could be the end of everything. Granq is stronger than ever. The moment he formed that spear, I wondered about his power and saw every power in his hand by reading his mind. The Tes of Mind, the Tes of Time, the Tes of Light, the Tes of Balance, the Tes of Nature, and most importantly, two different Tes of Shape... He is truly powerful and needs to be stopped. The reason I gathered you all here is because we need all kinds of power. I cannot back down now." Avrutus says, "You said shape, right? Isn't that your Tes?" Vahura replies, "Yes, but the two Tes in Granq's hand are different from each other and mine." At that moment, Derihio appears. "LASREJU!" he says, and Granq appears behind him. Lasreju moves, but Derihio stops and speaks. "STOP! Watch, comrades! Watch, soldiers of the final battle!" he says. Everyone, including Granq, stops and listens to Derihio. Derihio continues, "My aim is to win, but even if I lose, each of you will learn something. It's not about winning or losing... It's about succeeding or failing! Fight not to win, but to defend what you believe is right!" Behind Derihio, tons of clones form in a straight line, ending in front of Vahura. Vahura looks at his left arm and sees a rope, tied and knotted, around his arm, to which the clones are attached, extending from Derihio. He thinks, "Was this always on my arm? Wait a minute... I understand. This rope is also from his Eqia. This rope is the reason the clones are coming towards me. I didn't even realize it was wrapped around my arm." At that moment, Derihio activates his clones. Even though the clones move away from the rope, they remain attached to it. "I won't be the one to bring about your end, Granq. You'll be defeated by someone you least expect." Derihio says. Granq is exhausted but still attacks the clones. With his new arm, he destroys each clone; whatever he strikes is completely annihilated like a plague, but Derihio cuts the clones' strings each time, preventing the spread of the plague. Although Granq advances, new clones constantly appear. Granq grows exhausted and stops swinging his arm. The clones leap onto him and surround him completely. Granq begins to emit green lights, and all the clones are once again afflicted by the plague. But this time it happens so quickly that Derihio can't cut the string, and the plague reaches the main string. Derihio quickly cuts the side connected to his Eqia but forgets Vahura's side. He quickly grabs the string and, with all his strength, unties the bond on Vahura's arm, but the plague jumps to his hand. He cuts his right hand with his left hand and instantly heals the wound with his Eqia. At that moment, Granq's arm pierces Derihio's stomach and then withdraws. Derihio turns around and sees that Granq's arm is gone. "I have no use for this arm anymore." Granq says. Derihio stands upright, smiles, and waits to slowly disappear without saying a word... (...)

STAGE 26: THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE WAR

Vahura, witnessing Derihio's death, speaks to the others. "The Tes of Nothingness... No, just nothingness. That's why I couldn't see nothingness when looking at Granq's powers. This isn't a Tes, it's nothingness itself. The only thing that could defeat Derihio... He used his Nature Tes to relieve his weariness, to heal himself. Derihio wasn't powerless; he didnt consider what transcends the concept of power, what is called 'nothingness'. He couldn't consider." Vahura explains. Don only listens, while Avrutus speaks. "What do we do now then? Our leader has fallen, after all." Vahura replies, "What we know the best." and slowly glides towards Granq. As Avrutus disintegrates into atoms, Don follows Vahura towards Granq. Vahura speaks to Don, "Be careful. You can't attack him tactically. His Tes is similar to the Eqia of Knowledge; he can consider all possible outcomes and act accordingly." Vahura lunges at Granq, but Granq remains motionless, taking Vahura's punch. He feels pain but doesn't show it. Vahura thinks, "He didn't even move..." Granq begins to speak, his voice different from his real voice, as if imitating someone. "Vahura... Can you fight like this? You seem tired. Are you?" Vahura lifts his head and sees Granq as Pusgurt. His facial expression changes, softening uncontrollably. Until Granq says, "Just kidding." and returns to his former self... Granq's right hand glows and grabs Vahura by the throat. "You're a worthless man, Vahura. Defeating Larrdanorr? Seriously..." he says, and a reddish substance forms between Granq's hand and Vahura's throat, splitting Granq's hand and causing Vahura to fall. "Avrutus, huh?" Granq thinks, but doesn't care any longer and starts talking to Vahura. "When you came back, I really thought you were that person. The one with the perfect Tes of Shape... But I was wrong, you have nothing to do with perfection. Look at yourself... Poor thing." He sees Don behind him and lunges upwards. Don misses and says, "I missed my only chance..." Granq says, "I don't know how I didn't notice you, but you don't seem strong or to know how to fight." Don completely loses his temper and instantly becomes serious, saying, "What did you say...?". Avrutus returns to his former self and stands next to Vahura. Don speaks, "Avrutus, take Vahura and go somewhere where you won't see me." Avrutus says, "Stupid nonsense, you're going to do what you want again. I refuse." but Don interrupts him. "Commander Avrutus... I didn't ask you, I gave you an order. The Prince is ordering you, soldier. One final order. Go." Avrutus, though enraged, composes himself and says, "I want you to know that you've succumbed to your anger, Mister Prince. But I have complete faith in you, 'The Man Born Not to Die'..." and, lifting Vahura, he makes him use the Tes of Will to enter the Baz. Granq begins to speak. "'The Man Born Not to Die,' huh? A title befitting a prince." Don prepares his war scythes, one black and one white, and begins to glide upwards towards Granq. He thinks, "A prince... The royalty is a complete cycle of nonsense." Granq then recreates the spear he used on Vahura in his right hand and begins to glide downwards towards Don. Thinks, "The Eqia colors are reversed... Existence and its antithesis, or two entities forming balance, perhaps two actions..." Granq, approaching close enough, raises and lowers his spear. At the same time, Don swings his black scythe at Granq's spear. Granq, expecting a clash, sees his spear vanish upon contact with Don's black scythe. Before Granq can even think, Don cuts him down with both scythes simultaneously. Don recoils slightly and speaks. "You don't seem very fast... You may be strong, but you don't seem to know how to fight." Granq completely freezes, doesn't even think. Don begins to think. "Since when have I been able to do this?" He looks at his Eqias and feels a change... "No way... My potential is still there!" he says, information is transmitted to his brain, and he combines his scythes to create a gray scythe. "It's awakened..." he thinks to himself. Don turns to Granq, and just as he is about to attack, Granq's body darkens, and nothingness is reborn. Don retreats, creating distance between them, and begins to think, "Nonsense! He always uses this when he's in trouble! Now he's acting of his own free will!" Nothingness disappears, and Granq speaks. "Thank you, devil. Now... Where were we, prince?" he says. (...)

STAGE 27: THE SENCE OF THE WAR

Avrutus stops at Baz, where he entered with Vahura, and begins to glide towards Jilid. Vahura speaks, his voice depressed and devoid of energy. "Wait, Avrutus. There's a specific reason we came to this Baz. This is the Baz where I was born." he says, and teleports them both to Jilid, Gurise. Avrutus is surprised and says, "Was that the Eqia of Vision?" and releases Vahura. Vahura gets up and sits on one of the thrones in Gurise. The shape of the throne changes and softens. Vahura leans back, closes his eyes, and begins to speak. "Avrutus, thank you. I need to compose myself a little, I can't do anything in this state... I want you to find Abrakmat. The things that can be done here are limited anyway. This seems to be the only thing that can be done right now. This is Jilid, and the colorful creatures around are Tenerasls. Just like Moroklus, Karamistar, and Harutyk... I don't think I can help you any more, unfortunately. You can go." Avrutus listens and turns away. He is uneasy because he knows almost nothing about this Baz, but he still doesn't want to stop. Just as Avrutus is about to step into Boluk, Vahura calls out, "Avrutus... I have something I believe I can give you." Avrutus turns to Vahura and sees the Tes of Will and Grudge in his hand. The Tes levitate and stop in front of Avrutus. Avrutus is surprised, but Vahura's words bring him back to his senses. "The telekinesis of the Eqia of Vision working is a good thing. At least I don't get more tired." Vahura says. Avrutus takes the Tes and turns back towards Boluk. He speaks one last time and steps into Boluk. "I won't betray your trust, Vahura, the only good thing I can do in this life is support others..." Stepping into Boluk, Avrutus, thanks to the Tes of Will, analyzes all of Baz and senses an interesting, intense energy and heads towards the yellow Tenerasl Sarlion. He passes through the atmosphere and continues to follow the energy he sensed. He tries to be quick because Abrakmat is missing, Vahura is unconscious, and he is alone with Don Granq. Finally, he gets very close to the energy and enters a planet twenty times the size of the other planets. As he approaches the ground, he sees that the buildings have been reduced to ruins. Finally, he realizes that the intense energy he sensed is coming from a ruin, a ruined castle. He sets foot on the planet, turns his face towards the castle, and enters. As he walks, he thinks to himself, "What am I doing here? Shouldn't I be finding Abrakmat?", but he continues walking. Finally, he arrives at the castle hall and sees someone sitting on the floor with their back to the door. He waits for a while, uneasy, but the silence is broken by the man's words. "Do you know why wars are fought, Avrutus?" he asks. Avrutus is surprised and asks, "Abrakmat? What are you doing in this ruined place?" Abrakmat repeats, "Why are wars fought, Avrutus?" without moving. Avrutus, uneasy but in a coherent voice, says, "There are different reasons." Abrakmat continues. "This is Sarlion, the capital of Tenerasl. The Tenerasl founded and ruled by King Granq. It's actually a Tenerasl that symbolizes peace and wisdom. At least, that's what it was before I arrived... The moment Vahura sent me into Baz to check on my brother, I knew something was wrong. It was just an instinct, but the moment I reached Jilid, I knew my instincts were right. I don't know how or what he did, but... My brother Deregerol and another Temseral named Pusgurt had their bodies merged together, torn apart, waiting to be killed. I wasn't scared, angry, or sad, but I felt the death screams of that corpse-like thing to my very core. Moreover, they were kept alive by my old Tes, the Tes of Moment, just to suffer. They writhed in agony, wanting death, not help. I took the Tes of Moment and watched their deaths, their annihilation, listened to that emptiness, that silence... I absorbed the Tes of Moment and noticed something new... Normally, the Tes of Moment makes the user live only in the present, so the past and future completely disappear from the user's mind, preventing them from ever thinking. But I could think. I looked at Sarlion and for a moment," he continues, turning his face back to Avrutus. His face is covered in skin, the skin where his mouth and eyes should be has been torn, creating space for him to speak and see. "'What if I went and tore all the Sards and structures in Sarlion into a thousand pieces?' I said. I only said, 'What if?' but... Here I am. Now, Avrutus... Why are wars fought?" Abrakmat finishes. Avrutus stops, trying to comprehend what is happening. "I don't know about you, but I'm only fighting to protect my homeland, the place where I live. Let's go, Abrakmat. Vahura is waiting." he says, turning around and saying, "I won't wait." and walks outside. Abrakmat appears beside him and they walk together. Abrakmat speaks, "Should we teleport?" Avrutus replies, "If you can do such a thing, don't ask, just do it." and they teleport to Jilid. (...)

STAGE 28: THE END OF THE WAR

Vahura begins to think after Avrutus leaves him alone. "I'm not perfect... I never was... With a little enthusiasm, I was able to challenge Larrdanorr, but it wasn't me who won, it was Jamz. I can never be perfect... I understood that the moment I hit Granq. He didn't even move... Granq was right." Despairing and destroying himself, Vahura hears a voice he's never heard before; a silent, voiceless voice... "Why do you desire perfection so much? Is true perfection, in your opinion, power? Or a great past and future? True perfection is not like what you think, Vx Dereleaous... If you drop something, you should look at the ground, not your hand." the voice says. Immediately after the voice stops, Vahura gets up, looks around, and says, "Solezma? Is that you?" But he receives no answer. He begins to talk to himself. "Vx said Dereleaous... That's not my name, is it? Was it my name before I became Kort? The name Dereleaous sounds familiar... But why did Solezma say these things to me? Although, it might not be Solezma speaking... By the way, what happened to Solezma?" he says, and falls into a deep silence. Then he listens to what is being said, sits on his throne, closes his eyes, and begins to think. "Why do I want to be perfect so much? I don't know. Actually, I used to hate perfection; I'd call it nonsense and throw it aside. What has changed now? Why am I so addicted...? Did I drop what I was holding? What does that mean? Was I already perfect before, and now I'm not? Then I shouldn't be looking for what I lost in my hand. I need to find... Something... Something that doesn't fit my thoughts..." Vahura thinks for a long time, but nothing fits the situation. At that moment, Abrakmat and Avrutus arrive, Vahura opens his eyes and stands up. "How fast you're all! Anyway, we don't have time to lose. Don is fighting over there, I hope he's not in too bad shape..." he says, turning to Abrakmat. "Where's your brother?" he asks. Abrakmat, without even batting an eyelid, replies, "He's dead. And Pusgurt is dead too. I'd count everyone who's dead, but we're short on time. I have a plan." Vahura nods slightly sadly and listens to Abrakmat. After explaining the plan, Abrakmat says, "Go. We've wasted too much time." Avrutus uses his Will Tes and they leave Baz with Vahura. Don approaches them and places the Tes of Light, the Tes of Balance, and the Tes of Nature in Vahura's hand. "I didn't tell you I wasn't worthless, so I can't say, 'I told you I wasn't worthless...'" he says. Vahura is surprised, but there's no time to be surprised. Avrutus atomizes, and Don and Vahura dashes towards Granq. Don speaks, "My Eqia has awakened. Moreover, we have three of Granq's Tes in our hands. We have the advantage, don't hold back!" Granq is tired, exhausted. Using the Tes of Time, he brings his body back to a time when he was not tired, and by accelerating his body's time, he retreats. Vahura absorbs the Tes of Light and moves behind Granq. Granq uses the Tes of Time to leap upwards and looks behind him. Vahura's punch misses Granq, but Granq still feels the punch and is shaken. Both Granq and Vahura are surprised, experiencing a momentary pause. Granq tries to leap back and move away, but Vahura, with his telekinesis, places Don in front of Granq. Don tenses and creates his gray scythe, stabbing Granq, freezing him. Vahura and Avrutus are surprised, but still advance towards Granq. Don shouts, "Vahura! Stay behind him!" Don separates his gray scythe back into white and black, stabbing Granq thousands of times, each time shouting "Die!" Granq returns to his normal form and flies at high speed towards Vahura behind him. Vahura absorbs the Tes of Balance, equalizing his body's balance with Granq's and taking minimal damage. Avrutus quickly transforms into a red thread, enveloping Granq. Granq, unable to move, tries to use the Tes of Time, while Don gets near and aims his black scythe at Granq's face. The scythe passes through his head, and the Tes of Time leaves Granq. Vahura catches and absorbs it. Granq thinks desperately, "I don't want to use the nothingness either...! Even though we share the same idea, using it harms someone, even unintentionally! Even if it's me..." Before Granq's body begins to turn black, Vahura uses telekinesis to completely pull Avrutus back. Granq, body fully covered in black, thinks, "How... How does he learn so fast?! The moment he absorbed the Tes of Time, he fully adapted, mastered it, and looked into my future! What a monster you are, Vahura?!" The black color surrounding Granq disappears, and Don instantly attacks, trying to freeze him, but Granq suddenly accelerates, and Don misses. The nothingness returns, and Granq uses his arm again to grab Don's scythe. Don separates the scythes at the last moment, and as the white scythe disappears, Don, with the black scythe, moves to Vahura and Avrutus. Granq, however, doesn't take any more risks and deactivates the nothingness. (...)
