Chapter 1 - My last day in my world

Hiiiiiiiii! I'm Yuji, and don't worry, I know your usual stories don't start like this, but chill, because this is my story, and it's gonna be the greatest thing you've ever heard. Trust me.

So let me take you back to Longville. Now, I had a pretty average life. I wasn't a hero or anything cool like that—no magical powers or any of that jazz—but I had something better: friends. The problem? They all had girlfriends, except me. Yeah, you could say I was the odd one out. A love story with a twist, if you will.

I spent countless days watching my friends with their girlfriends, feeling like a third wheel. Every hangout was just them being lovey-dovey while I sat there alone, twiddling my thumbs. So, I did what any guy in my position would do: I decided I was going to get a girlfriend. But there was a slight problem—I had no idea how to talk to girls. Seriously. It was like I had a mental block. And I wasn't exactly rich, or good-looking, or any of the stuff that girls usually liked.

So, what did I do? Well, I came up with an... unconventional plan. I'd steal a girl's heart! Okay, maybe not steal per se, but you know, win her over by any means necessary. And how did I plan to do that? Kidnap a girl. Sounds insane, right? Well, I was desperate.

I told my best friend Jayka about my grand plan. We were sitting in my room when I laid it out for him. He looked at me like I had lost my mind. "Are you kidding me, Yuji? You can't seriously be thinking about kidnapping a girl. You'll end up in jail, or worse... you'll get yourself killed!"

Of course, Jayka was no help. He wouldn't give me a hand in this 'brilliant' scheme. He was a law-abiding citizen, and I was just, well, a desperate guy with too much time on my hands. After much convincing—and by convincing, I mean bribing—I managed to get him to agree.

"Fine, I'll help you," he said, finally. "But only because you promised me fifty bucks when you get paid next."

I almost felt bad about bribing him, but then I remembered my goal: Get a girlfriend. So, I waved my guilt aside and slapped him a high five.

That night, at exactly midnight, we snuck into the local university. The place was quiet, dark, and the security guards had, of course, gone to the bar. Perfect. We tiptoed around, trying not to make a sound, like two burglars in a heist movie. We reached the girls' dorm, waiting for the perfect moment.

Then, out of nowhere, I slipped on the floor, my feet betraying me in the worst possible way. I hit the ground with a crash that could probably be heard from the moon. "HELP! Some perverts are here!" a voice screamed from inside the dorm.

My eyes went wide. The last thing I needed was to get caught, but guess what? The moment I hit the ground, Jayka and I bolted toward the exit. But there was a problem—one of the security guards, who must have been a ninja or something, appeared out of nowhere, blocking our way.

I froze. The guard pulled out a gun and pointed it at me, his voice sharp. "Don't you dare move, or I'll shoot!"

I wasn't exactly a mastermind, but I was determined, so I decided to try something stupid. I ran toward him, thinking I could do some fancy dodge-and-weave move like in the movies. Yeah, bad idea. He shot me.

I went down hard, feeling the sharp pain in my chest. I couldn't even focus on the throbbing pain before my thoughts went to Jayka, who was still standing there. Using the last of my strength, I grabbed the guard's leg and yanked him to the floor, screaming at Jayka to run. I could see Jayka looking at me, his face full of shock and panic, but he did what I asked. The last thing I saw was him running toward the exit as my vision went blurry and everything went dark
