In a beautiful family of one oluwashindara the daughter of Mr and Mrs boluwaduro has just finished her secondary school with a high hope to go to the university but knew her hopes were just mere dreams as she knew her parents wouldn't have the money to sponsor her . Against all thoughts she decided to dare believe God her quote always was with God all things are possible.
One day while she was at the verandah picking beans for dinner she heard the sound of car, wondering who it was she peeped and found out it was her aunt. She hurried with with the beans,cooked it and went in to greet her aunt.
While in the sitting room her aunt told oluwashindara's parents why she had come visiting. It was to take oluwashindara to stay with her.
What! Ha! How can I leave my parents who would take care of them? NO!No!No! Oluwashindara spoke up. But it was too late as her parents has agreed. They told her to leave and whatever money that she is being paid she can send part to them. With years in her eyes oluwashindara hugged her parents packed her luggage and left for Abuja.
Oh! Abuja here I come, Abuja a beautiful city, oluwashindara landed at her aunt house only for her to meet the shock of her life her aunt has 3 grown girls. What on earth did she need me for? When she have these grown daughters oluwashindara wondered. Oh she would soon find out she thought. She packed her luggage straight to her room,locked the door and gave thanks for journey mercies. While she was about to take her nap she heard her aunt screaming her name"oluwashindara". Oluwashindara walked up to her aunt who gave her a hot slap informing her she is in her house to work and not to be lazy around. Oh! It's clear A MAID!!! Oluwashindara thought.
Oluwashindara walked into the kitchen and cleared the dishes and pots before taking her food to eat. Ha! God! God! Humm that was all oluwashindara could say as she laid on her mattress.
The next morning oluwashindara was in the sitting room with her aunt when her neices brought their waec result and told their mum they would love to go for jamb lesson as that's the next step.oluwashindara thought now this is my dream aunt would send me too so I can go to the university.
Her aunt Mrs oloruntomi smiled at her daughters, counted their lesson fee and told them to be on their way also informing them to be focused on their studies. Oluwashindara couldn't believe her aunt didn't see her or consider her worthy to be in the jamb class. "Well God sees" that was all oluwashindara could say.
After working for a whole month oluwashindara was expecting her pay but there was no green light of payment she decided to ask her aunt . Her aunt gave her the worse reply ever' You have used all your salary on your feeding" what! What of my parents how will they feed what would I send to them. Aunty pls have mercy oluwashindara pleaded. But all her pleas fell on deaf ears.
Oluwashindara couldn't believe her aunt could be so mean to her. She decided to leave the house that same night she packed her things and threw them from the window. Oluwashindara left her aunt's house through the window.
Walking down the road oluwashindara has no clue of where to go. Where? Where will I go now? Oluwashindara screamed as tears fell off her eyes. She decided to stay at the road side. While she was there it began to rain heavily. Oluwashindara stood in the rain, she said this is better than me going to that house. The rain didn't stop this time around oluwashindara was shivering already. Oh! God please send me an helper. Indeed God hears it wasn't up to 30minutes a black range rover car parked beside her and tell her to come in as he would take her to where she lives. Oluwashindara didn't want to enter but entered when the man assured her he wasn't going to harm her. The man asked oluwashindara where she was going to oluwashindara started weeping no where sir. So shocked to see a young girl in so much tears asked her to narrate her story. After narration the man was filled with compassion and took oluwashindara to his house.
Getting home he explained everything to his wife and she understood. The husband and the wife took oluwashindara as theirs and told her she can work with them.oluwashindara's joy knew no bounds. She hugged and thanked them profusely.God thank you oluwashindara smiled in her mattress.
The next morning oluwashindara woke up before everyone and did her house chores. Mr and Mrs Godwin were surprised at oluwashindara's attitude to work. They watched her cook and also help their two kids in their assignment everyday. They decided to send her to the university.
One evening the 22nd of December Mr and Mrs Godwin called oluwashindara to the living room and asked her what she would love to study in the university. What? Am I dreaming did I just hear university oluwashindara spoke. Sir and ma God in heaven will bless you. I would like to study civil engineering. Wow you have it. They brought out the form of a private university which she filled. They told her she should be ready before February and fully by August she would commence. Oluwashindara don't know how she can thank her new boss she only said God in heaven reward you sir and ma with tears in her eyes.yeah! February came oluwashindara was all set, all documents ready she worked for 5months before moving to the university. On her way to the university oluwashindara smiled God,God awesome are your ways was all she said till got to her school.
5years later she was done with her studies. Unknown to herr Godwin has a company that is majorly into civil engineering. Immediately she was done he employed her she didn't roam around looking for job. She was paid 1million as salary,a brand new car and an apartment.
Ha! God oluwashindara screamed as the keys and her salary was given to her. She went on her knees and thanked Mr and Mrs Godwin. The next day she drove down to her parents place in oyo state. They were so shocked to see her and began hailing her aunt. Oluwashindara hissed mum and dad no oh it's Mr and Mrs Godwin
Hunn! After much narration oluwashindara's parent went to Mr and Mrs Godwin's house to thank them and left for their apartment.
Oluwashindara still took it upon Herself to help in the cleaning of the house every Saturdays and also assist the boys in their assignment.
Indeed oluwashindara's joy was so full. She smiled all in her room and said God I didn't know you were ON MY JOURNEY
