After my intense hacking section and trying to cover my tracks just to find out every little bit of information about the Browns.
I came downstairs in a tracksuit to go for a walk in the park. It was a beautiful day in the Tanston park. No big crowd nor packed cars, just a serene city.
Then I saw two men actually playing chess under one of the six gazebos it the park. this men were actually two old men.
Before I knew it, I was standing right in front of the gazebo staring at them. They both noticed my gaze.
"Hey young lad, come over." said the one in a coconut summer to and down matching out fit.
"You play chess too, or just a fan?" Asked the other one in an all white, matching short-sleeve shirt and shorts.
"Both, a die hard fan, and a good player, with mediocre skills."I replied humbly.
Not letting them on, on the fact that I used to play this for milleniums as a way to kill boredom back in the Holy Dahuuk Army.
"Oh Is that so? How about you play with Old Bernard over there, huh?" The one in the all white said, pointing to the one in the coconut summer outfit.
"Hey, Brian, Why Should he play with me? I'm the best around here, you know." Bernard refuted.
"That isn't declared yet. we haven't finished our match yet." Brian said.
"This two are fighting again, How about you play against me?" Came a voice from behind, another old man came in with 4 bodyguards in casual wears.
After waving his hands, the guards dispersed into the park and blended in doing other things.
That's when I noticed Eight more people who were here before I came, also doing different things but having their attention here.
With this behaviour, these people are nothing but body guards. At the parking lot was two Mercedes-benz Barabus G, with the Leichstons Family emblem on it and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Range Rover with the Morgan Group emblem on it.
Now in addition to those cars, two Stretched Ford Lincoln, with the Hopstein's Family emblem on it.
The three of the five most powerful Houses in the country. The Morgans of Zerna City In the West, The Leichstons of Statonburge In the North, The Welmons of SpringHill City In the East, The Hopsteins of Krymoda City In the Central capital, and the Sylestines of Souice City In the South.
This are powerful houses that even the Reynalds will think thrice before even thinking of crossing them. And three of them is right here in front of him, in an open area, playing chess.
"I'm Bur'je, and don't mind their rudeness, what's your name young lad?" The newly arrived man in a similar tracksuit but a blue one compared to my preferred Black Tracksuit.
"I'm Leon, and I'll be more than happy to play with you guys." I replied.
Old Bur'je sat down and brought out a new chess board and pieces, and we started playing.
I wanted to see their level of skill so I just played a long game and didn't go for the win, just preventing him from winning too early.
He obviously saw through me and burst out laughing.
"Haha, well done young lad, I yield, that's some skill you have there, I admire the way you show respect through chess. Now let's play a real game." Bur'je said
I smiled and gave him a slight respectful nod. The next game started, and obviously, I won In just 6 moves.
The whole place became quiet for a second before Old-Brian burst out laughing.
"Old-Bur'je lost to a kid in 6 moves, are you showing him the feeling of winning or what?" Old-Brian Said.
"Haha, anyway, it's my turn now." Old-Bernard said in between laughter.
I pushed the chess closer to him and just like that, 2 hours passed with another 24 defeats taken place, both Old-Brian and Old-Bernard. Old-Bur'je just couldn't stop laughing.
"Nice game young Leon, Nice game." Old-Bur'je said.
"I Learnt from the best. took your advice." I said, and they all burst out laughing.
Just then a young lady in casual wears came and with two guards and said, " Mr.Brian, it's time to go."
And the another old man came, probably at the same age as the old clerk, but his demeanor and motion will tell that this guy is a butler, " Sir Bernard, it's time for us to go too." he said
In a matter of seconds, everyone on the park gathered around the gazebo.
"Well Young Leon, it's time for us to head to our respective homes, Here is my card, call me if you need anything." Old-Burje said handing him a business card.
"You're now declared as the champion chess player of this year, meet us on the first week of the second month every year, right here, And we'll have a rematch." Old Brian also said, and signalled her secretary to hand him a card.
"Guess we're giving out cards now, hold on a sec." Old-Bernard said as he started searching for something in his pockets. "Oh chess nuts, I don't think I brought a business card to a club meeting."
He said, glaring at Old-Bur'je and Old-Brian. The two looked at each other and started laughing.
Then the old butler walked forward and handed Me a card, "Don't worry Sir Bernard, I have it covered." Said the butler.
"oh, Then Welcome to the Old Happy club." Old-Bernard said.
"All though I still hate that name, welcome young lad." Old-Bur'je said.
"Glad to be, I appreciate" I said.
"Okay now, we'll take our leave, live well young Leon." Old-Bur'je said before leading his team out and getting into the two Lincolns, Old-Bernard also got into the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Range Rover. And Old-Brian got into the two Mercedes-benz Barabus G.
"I was speechless. I just met with three terrifying existence and felt like I just met my old collage dorm-mates.
It was 6pm when I came back from the park, so I called room service and ordered supper, then went into the bathroom to take my shower in the mean time.
After the refreshing shower, I placed on a pajamas and was about to sit down on the couch when the door bell rang.
I went to check and it was room service so I took the food and went into the room to eat. After eating I went straight to bed. And that was how my 3 days went by.
Waking up naturally in the morning and hittin the gym after breakfast.
In the Afternoon, I either swimming in the hotel's indoor pool, or at the usal park, buying an ice-cream that usually comes there.
in the Evening, I emerge myself into the Tanston city night life, at night clubs, bars or some regular night restaurant.
On the second day, I got a call from the Browns, saying they want to meet the next day.
So on the Third day, I took a cab to the usual bar of course, but before I could enter, the bodyguards from the other day called out.
"Sir Leon, please, this way." One of them said, pointing to a black BMW sedan by the road.
I got into the car which was a luxury in it's own style.
The car went even deeper into the city, and we came to a stop in front of an old villa gates, in a few seconds, the gate opened and we drove in, parking in front of the 3 storey-villa.
An old man opened the door for me and led me into the house.
The house was actually clean. Really clean, and really white. Getting into the hall, there were two teenagers and a young lady, and young man.
I didn't even look at them and followed the butler into a room which looks like a conference room.
There was a long black marble-top table in the middle and 5 chairs on both sides, with a bigger one in front.
The sit in front was occupied by an old man. Logarn Brown. And on his right was Edgar, Lorenzo and then Herald.
on his left was Edna and finally, Hellen.
"Welcome Mr.Leon, to my humble aboard." Logarn spoke in a booming voice.
"Thank You Mr.Logarn." I said nonchalantly.
"Have a sit and let's talk. I heard you have great info that may interest me." Logarn said.
"Yes Old Patriarch, Something of interest to the whole family." I said, sitting down near Hellen and facing Herald.
I paused and look at everyone before my eyes came back to Logarn's. "go on." He said after studying me closely.
"Ok let's start with who I am and my motive." I started.
"My name is Leon Black, an office worker for the Brown's Real Estate HR department, star city branch, formally.
That is, I was working for you until recently, when I got called by my boss, the entity behind me, asking me to take on a very difficult mission." I paused
Everyone in the room was listening keenly.
"To guide, protect, and lead the family to be the most powerful in The whole continent." I concluded.
Everyone just stared at me like I grew a second head.
"hmph!,!Nice joke." Lorenzo scuffed. "You branded wanting to be our bodyguard like you were about to take over as the new head." he added.
"Mr.Leon, You mean to tell me, you'll become my bodyguard with absolute loyalty, if I sign this contract?" Edgar finally spoke.
"That is correct Mr.Edgar." I replied.
Lorenzo burst out laughing.
