Chapter 1 - The Value of a Rare Stone

In a small village lived a young man named Raju. He was constantly complaining about his fate and poverty, feeling as though the world had burdened him with all its hardships. One day, he went to his teacher and said, "Sir, my life is meaningless. I can't seem to achieve anything."

The teacher handed him a bright red stone and said, "Take this to the market and find out its price. But remember, do not sell it."

The Journey to the Market

The Fruit Seller: Raju first went to a fruit seller. Looking at the stone, the seller said, "This looks quite nice! I can give you 10 mangoes in exchange for it."

The Cloth Merchant: Next, Raju went to a cloth merchant. After examining the stone, he said, "I can give you 1,000 rupees for this."

The Jeweler: Finally, Raju visited the city's most renowned jeweler. The jeweler examined the stone through his lens for a long time. In amazement, he exclaimed, "This is a rare, genuine ruby! Even if I sold my entire shop, I wouldn't be able to pay its true price."

The Moral Lesson

Raju returned to his teacher in shock. The teacher smiled and said:

"People will value you based on their own perspective and needs. To some, you may be like a common pebble, but to those who recognize your true worth, you are priceless."
