Chapter 1 - The adventure of dream

chapter1 : A place where dreams are born.

If one day you found yourself in a wondrous world—where the air is cool and gentle, where mythical creatures roam freely, and where every landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. A place where you could speak with animals, where even a bird might carry you across the open sky.

Yet perhaps such a world need not be so extraordinary. Simply waking up to find you have endless wealth, free to spend without limit… that alone would already feel like a dream.

And yes—it is a dream. Everyone has dreamed at least once. When the dream is pleasant, we wake with a lingering sense of longing; when it is a nightmare, we awaken with relief.

Every dream must come to an end. And returning to the exact same dream… is no easy thing.

But imagine this—what if you could return to that very same dream world, the same place, every single night?

What kind of life would that be?

You find yourself standing in a vast meadow. A cool breeze brushes past you, light and comforting.

You look out as far as your eyes can see. The endless blue sky above fills you with an unexplainable sense of peace.

Suddenly, a white rabbit appears.

"At last… you've come back again."

You freeze. Your heart begins to race for reasons you cannot understand. The word again sends a strange sensation through your chest.

"What do you mean?" you ask—without the slightest surprise that you are speaking to a rabbit.

The rabbit smiles, lifting a paw to its chest.

"Welcome back… to the Eternal Dream World. A world that belongs to you… and one you were chosen for."

The wind grows stronger. The green meadow sways as if responding to its words. You feel something stir within you—a sense of familiarity, despite knowing you've never been here before.

"If this is a dream," you murmur, "why does everything feel… so real?"

The rabbit says nothing more.

It simply turns, and begins to hop forward.

You follow in silence. The meadow rises and falls gently beneath your steps, the cool wind never ceasing. This world feels calm… as if time itself does not belong here.

Before long, something appears ahead. It is neither a city nor a castle—but a long stone bridge stretching into a veil of pale white mist.

The rabbit stops at the edge of the bridge and turns back to you.

"You haven't woken up yet."

That is all it says, its tone flat—as if stating a simple truth.

You look at the bridge before you. And as you take your first step forward, you feel that—

this journey within the dream… may be more important than you think.

Not long after, a structure emerges before you—a towering wall that seems to touch the sky, with a massive gate at its center.

The rabbit stops in front of it and glances back.

"Go on."

That is all it says.

You step forward—and the gate slowly opens.

You and the rabbit walk inside. Then, a thought suddenly crosses your mind.

"Wait… why can you talk?" you ask.

"I told you already. This is a dream. Anything is possible."

The moment you pass through the gate, the sight before you takes your breath away.

Before you lies a vast kingdom. Countless structures stretch as far as the eye can see—houses, towers, and roads—all built for animals.

Creatures of every kind move about: dogs, cats, deer, wolves, birds—even ones you've never seen before. They wear clothes, use tools, and converse with one another as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

The sounds of voices, footsteps, and beating wings blend into a lively atmosphere—yet never chaotic.

You stand there in silence, your heart pounding with awe.

The rabbit turns to you again, its gaze steadier and more serious than before.

"Welcome… to the Kingdom of Beasts."

It speaks slowly.

"A place where we live… while humans dream."

"While humans dream?" you repeat.

"Yes. We are always aware. But humans can only perceive dreams while asleep. Everything that can be imagined exists here—and is sent into the dreams of each person. Both good dreams… and nightmares."

Its voice softens slightly.

"This place does not choose what kind of dream anyone receives."

It continues gently, as if afraid you might misunderstand.

"We simply carry what is created here… into the minds of humans."

You look around once more. The kingdom continues to move, alive and purposeful in its own way.

"What about nightmares?" you ask without thinking.

The rabbit falls silent for a moment before answering.

"Nightmares are part of dreams too."

It meets your eyes—not with sadness, nor cruelty.

"Some dreams exist to comfort."

A brief pause.

"Some… exist to warn."

Those words settle heavily in your chest, though you cannot explain why.

The rabbit turns and walks on, leaving one final sentence behind.

"And tonight… you will see for yourself how dreams truly work."

19:00

A bell rings.

Not the sound of metal—but a vibration that echoes through the air itself, as if the entire kingdom recognizes that time has begun.

The light in the city slowly shifts—from warm to gentle. Crystal lanterns begin to glow. Creatures pause their conversations and look up toward the sky almost in unison.

You follow their gaze.

Above the kingdom, the sky is no longer dark. Instead, it is layered—like overlapping canvases. Within each layer, faint images begin to appear: a child laughing, an old man sitting in silence, someone crying alone.

"Those are human dreams," the rabbit says beside you, before you can ask.

"At this hour… their world begins to connect with ours."

Some creatures begin their work. Great birds spread their wings, tiny lights clinging to their feathers like stars. Cloaked wolves move toward tall buildings marked with symbols resembling eyes.

"And me?" you ask quietly. "What should I do?"

The rabbit looks at you. This time, its smile is different—almost… relieved.

"Tonight, you are not here as a guest."

It offers you something.

A key—formed from shifting dreamlight, constantly moving.

"You will enter a dream," it says. "A dream no one should interfere with… yet one that is about to collapse."

Your heart begins to race.

The rabbit turns toward the sky again. One layer of dreams trembles violently, its image fracturing like cracked glass.

"Some dreams, if left alone," it murmurs, "become nightmares that never end."

It looks back at you, its gaze more serious than ever.

"And tonight… you must choose."

"Whether someone will wake up…"

"…or remain trapped in that dream forever."

The key in your hand grows warm.

And in that very moment—

one of the doors to the dream world begins to open before you.
