Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: The God-Slayer’s Requiem

The surface of the 'End of Days' was a desolate landscape of negative-matter marble, cold enough to freeze the concept of time. Lin Xuan stood amidst the swirling violet lightning of Saturn's rings, his boots locked onto the ship's hull. Opposite him, the Harvester King loomed, his armor pulsing with the rhythmic, dying light of a thousand consumed civilizations.

The red threads of the Soul-Binding Hornet hummed with tension, vibrating like the strings of a macabre instrument as they funneled the King's 11-star divinity directly into Lin Xuan's spiritual sea.

"You believe you are a savior," the King hissed, the dark blade in his hand crackling with the weight of a collapsed galaxy. "But you are merely a faster predator. You teach your swarm to hunger. When I am gone, what will you feed them, 'Sovereign'? When the universe is empty, will you turn on your own?"

"We don't eat for the sake of hunger," Lin Xuan replied, his voice carried through the void by the Queen of the Swarm's mental broadcast. "We eat to grow. And unlike you, we leave seeds behind."

The Final Synchronization

Lin Xuan felt his veins burning. The 11-star energy was too much for a single human vessel, even one reinforced by six forbidden paths. His Necro-Chitin armor began to crack, leaking blinding violet light.

"Sisters! Now!"

Through the neural link, the three pillars of the Sovereign Sect responded. On Earth, Lin Chen redirected the entire planetary array's output into the link. Lin Yue channeled the collective hope of the 4.2 billion awakened souls. Lin Feng, from the bridge of the Obsidian Talon, ignited her own life-core to stabilize the connection.

The six insects on Lin Xuan's person—the Larva, the Ant, the Spider, the Hornet, the Mantis, and the Queen—didn't just merge; they dissolved into Lin Xuan's flesh. His form expanded, his black robes shredding to reveal a body crafted from living starlight and indestructible chitin. He grew four wings of gossamer and shadow, and his eyes became multifaceted diamonds.

The Fall of the End

The Harvester King lunged, his dark blade cutting a rift through the center of Saturn's rings, vaporizing millions of tons of ice in a micro-second.

Lin Xuan didn't dodge. He caught the blade with his bare hand.

The Law of Destruction from the Hornet met the King's entropy. For a moment, the universe held its breath. Then, the King's blade began to rust. The negative-matter marble beneath their feet began to sprout tiny, bioluminescent moss—the Moon-Glow Larva's ultimate life-seed, thriving on the very energy of death.

"Xiao Lu, End of Space!"

The Void-Eater Mantis's power flared. The continent-sized flagship didn't explode; it began to fold in on itself, collapsing toward the point where Lin Xuan's hand met the King's blade.

"NO! THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!" the King screamed, his 11-star aura flickering like a guttering candle. "I AM THE END!"

"No," Lin Xuan said, his diamond eyes reflecting the birth of a new star. "You're just the fertilizer."

Lin Xuan drove his hand into the King's chest, bypassing the armor and the flesh, grasping the Prime Core of the Harvester Race. With a primal roar that echoed through the spiritual seas of every living being in the solar system, he ripped it out.

The Dawn of the Galactic Hive

The 'End of Days' imploded. The resulting shockwave cleared the rings of Saturn for ten thousand miles, creating a perfect, empty circle of space.

Lin Xuan floated in the center of that void, the golden Prime Core pulsing in his hand. The Harvester fleet, sensing the death of their King and the total absorption of his divinity, didn't flee. They couldn't. The Soul-Binding Hornet's threads had already linked them all to Lin Xuan.

With a single thought, Lin Xuan sent a command through the threads.

The thousands of bone-ships and necro-cruisers didn't shatter. They began to change. Their dark, sickly colors shifted to the vibrant teals, violets, and silvers of the Sovereign Sect. The mummified corpses inside were purified, their energy returned to the cosmic cycle.

The Sovereign's Rest

Hours later, the Obsidian Talon drifted alongside Lin Xuan. Lin Feng was the first out of the airlock, flying into his arms with a force that would have killed a lesser man. Lin Yue and Lin Chen's holographic projections appeared beside them, their faces wet with tears of relief.

"It's over," Lin Yue whispered. "The sky is quiet."

Lin Xuan looked at the Prime Core in his hand, then at the distant sun, which looked small and fragile from the orbit of Saturn.

"The sky is never quiet, Yue-jie," Lin Xuan said, his voice weary but filled with an unshakeable peace. "But for the first time, it's ours."

He looked at the System prompt floating in his vision, one last message from the long-dead Dr. Lin Wei:

[Project Swarm: Success. The Sovereign has evolved beyond the experiment. Good luck, son.]

Lin Xuan closed his eyes, feeling the heartbeats of billions of lives, all humming in harmony. The sanitation worker from Delhi, the trash-tier tamer of Azure City, had finally finished his job.

He had cleaned the universe.
