"What are we doing here, Shen Yu?"
Jiang Li rested both hands against the cold cement railing of the bridge, his fingers curling around its rough surface as he turned his head toward the man standing beside him. The winter wind moved gently through his hair, carrying with it the distant sounds of traffic and the occasional honk from cars passing beneath the bridge. Above them, the night sky stretched endlessly, dark and clear, with the moon hanging brightly between drifting clouds.
Shen Yu had been staring at the sky for several moments without saying anything.
At Jiang Li's question, however, his lips curved into a small smile before he finally turned toward him.
"What… are you sleepy?" he asked.
Jiang Li blinked, tilting his head in confusion. The innocent little movement made Shen Yu chuckle beneath his breath.
He had never smiled this much in a single day.
It was almost strange.
