Without saying anything further, he reached out and pulled the chair beside Jiang Li closer before sitting down, closing the distance between them until their shoulders brushed lightly. The movement was subtle, but deliberate, grounding, as if positioning himself there was enough to establish a quiet sense of control over the space.
