Chapter 54 - Chapter 54: Morning After & New Horizons

Kevin slowly woke up to the soft warmth of a body curled against his side. Sunlight filtered through the curtains of Colette's apartment. He looked down and saw her nestled against his chest, her brown hair messy and her face peaceful in sleep. Memories of the previous night flooded back, her drunk confession, the intense foreplay, and the passionate sex that followed.

Colette stirred, blinking sleepily as she looked up at him. A faint blush spread across her cheeks.

"Morning…" she whispered, her voice a little hoarse. She buried her face in his chest for a moment, embarrassed. "I… I can't believe I did that last night. I was so drunk… and so bold."

Kevin chuckled softly, running his fingers through her hair. "Hey, it's okay. I'm not complaining. Are you alright?"

She lifted her head, meeting his eyes. "I don't regret it," she admitted quietly. "I've been thinking about you for a while. I just… never thought I'd act on it like that."

Kevin smiled and kissed her forehead. "I'm glad you did. You're amazing, Colette."

The atmosphere between them shifted. Colette leaned in and kissed him slowly, tenderly. The kiss deepened, their bodies pressing closer. Kevin rolled them so he was on top, his hands exploring her bare skin as he kissed down her neck.

This time it was gentle and unhurried. He took his time worshipping her body, kissing her breasts, sucking on her nipples until she was moaning softly, then moving lower. He ate her out slowly, savoring her taste as she came quietly on his tongue. Then he slid into her, making love to her with deep, slow thrusts. Colette wrapped her legs around him, whispering his name as they moved together until they both reached climax.

Afterward, they lay tangled in the sheets, catching their breath. Colette traced patterns on his chest. "This doesn't have to change anything at work… right?"

Kevin kissed her softly. "It won't. We'll figure it out."

He left her apartment a while later, feeling a mix of satisfaction and slight guilt.

When he arrived, he noticed several large boxes stacked in the corner of the bedroom.

He opened them and found the camping gear he had ordered: a high-tech tent with toon-force reinforced fabric, a portable stove, sleeping bags, a backpack with extra storage, survival tools, a water purifier, and several high-quality hiking boots and clothes. Everything was top-tier and ready for an expedition into the wild 70% of the world.

He was planning to explore Loompaland soon. After getting the map, he had booked experienced guides and explorers to help him navigate the dangerous, uncharted jungle. He had already informed Holli, the farm and restaurant staff, and Roger Rabbit that he would be gone for a few days or weeks.

After showering and eating a quick breakfast, Kevin packed what he needed and drove to the airport meeting point at the edge of civilization.

When he arrived, three people were waiting for him. He shook their hands with a friendly smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all. I'm Kevin Harlan."

The first to speak was a confident young man with tanned skin and an adventurous grin. "Diego. Nice to meet you."

Next was a cheerful girl with brown hair in a ponytail. "I'm Dora! I've explored a lot of wild places. I can't wait to see Loompaland!"

The last was a tall, athletic woman with sharp eyes. "Virginia. I handle security and survival. We'll keep you safe out there."

Kevin nodded, feeling excited. "Great. Let's get going."

The group boarded a specialized transport, ready to head toward the edge of the unexplored jungle.

Kevin's next big adventure was about to begin.
