Chapter 147 - Chapter 147: The Ogre King Wrath, Ice Dragon Niya's Mission

Chapter 147: The Ogre King Wrath, Ice Dragon Nia's Mission

In the blink of an eye, half a year quietly slipped by.

The True Soul Orbs in the couple's hands had shrunk by about a third, rendering their absorption of divinity and comprehension of authorities significantly more pure and profound. As day alternated with night, the morning twilight blanketed the earth, driving away the winter cold.

"Whew~ I'm so tired!"

Shiro stretched her arms and stood up from her lounge chair. Shirazawa opened his eyes right after, rolling his shoulders. Though this past period had been incredibly leisurely, it had admittedly been a bit boring. After a brief discussion, the two decided to head out for a walk rather than staying cooped up at home.

"Perfect timing. The little spiders inside my pocket dimension have completely finished devouring the remaining angel army, and their food supply is running low. It's time to go hunting for the kids."

"Mm~ Let's go take a stroll through the Demon Spire Mountains. We can bring Leest along; she must be missing home by now."

"Sounds good. The labyrinth's ecology hasn't fully recovered yet, so the Demon Spire Mountains are currently the most suitable hunting ground."

"Let's go~"

Having finalized their plans, the two set off together. Watching Leest get taken along for a trip left Sophia's face completely twisted with absolute jealousy. *Why does Leest get to accompany Master while I'm stuck here serving a hard lockdown?* Sophia clenched her fists and swore to herself that sooner or later, she would become the absolute ruler of this world, and then she would aggressively spank her master's rear to avenge the humiliation of that day.

Deep within the Demon Spire Mountains.

High atop the boundless snowy peaks, a magnificent and elegant Ice Dragon stood proudly, looking down upon the world. All around her, countless smaller ice dragons circled and danced through the air, seemingly enthralled by the display of absolute frost.

"Ogre, the path ahead is closed. Leave this place immediately, and I can overlook your intrusion."

Suddenly, the Ice Dragon raised her head slightly, projecting a cold warning down toward the massive goblin army marching up the mountain. Leading the force was a man with messy, moss-green hair, sporting a pair of distinct blue ogre horns on his head. If Shirazawa were present, he would instantly recognize the horned man as none other than Kyouya Sasajima from his past life. He had officially evolved into an Oni, his raw strength rivaling that of a Queen Taratect, and his facial features had entirely reverted to his past-life appearance.

"Ice Dragon Nia, I, the Ogre King Wrath, challenge you to a duel. Grant me your guidance!"

Wrath leveled his blade directly toward the Ice Dragon, his aura erupting with a fierce, unstoppable pressure that made him look exactly like a god of war. The Ice Dragon clan's territory was the final remaining barrier preventing his total unification of the Demon Spire Mountains; only by shattering this checkpoint could he truly claim the title of the absolute Goblin King. Afterward, he intended to lead his army further north to join the Demon King's forces and write a hot-blooded legendary tale of saving the world.

Nia let out a cold snort. Her colossal frame shattered the snowy mountain barriers as she soared across the ten-thousand-meter precipice, landing with a heavy thud directly in front of Wrath.

"Ignorant goblin, you shall pay a heavy price for your sheer arrogance!" Nia's voice echoed across the firmament.

Immediately after, a deafening crack of thunder boomed as the sky turned pitch black, the clouds rolling and churning violently. Oppressive dark clouds massed across the sky, painting a textbook picture of the end of the world. A terrifying blizzard packed with bone-chilling frost swept in from all directions, instantly obliterating all vegetation in its path.

*Absolute Glacial Realm! A signature ultimate skill!*

Seeing the incoming assault, Wrath unleashed his full operational output.

"Unlimited Blade Works!"

An overwhelming sea of magic swords materialized out of thin air. His intrinsic skill, , had already been maxed out to the absolute peak. As long as his MP reserves held, he could churn out an endless supply of explosive magic sabers and detonating lightning-fire swords to use as disposable weapons. The resulting explosions generated an immense amount of destructive force, which Wrath systematically utilized like high-yield grenades.

Of course, he could also construct normal, stabilized magic swords for standard close-quarters combat. The lightning sword and fire sword gripped firmly in Wrath's hands were legendary-tier weapons he had obtained through infinite reinforcement, boasting staggering potential.

Lightning and fire violently intertwined, aggressively combating the encroaching blizzard as the two polar-opposite energies crashed into each other with apocalyptic fury.

*Rumble!!!*

The blizzard ravaged the landscape, sending massive hail flying as trees snapped like twigs and mountain ridges began to collapse. Nia hadn't expected that the tiny brat from back then would manage to scale the ranks to this level at such a ridiculous speed. She felt a massive sense of threat.

"Frozen Thousand Miles!"

A massive torrent of Ice Dragon Breath erupted from her jaws, instantly freezing everything along its trajectory. Even the local void itself was locked down by the absolute chill, plunging the area into an eternal ice age.

However, Wrath's Unlimited Blade Works wasn't hindered in the slightest. Relying entirely on sheer numerical superiority, the blades formed a massive sword formation that slowly but surely pressed forward against Nia.

"Urah!!!" The goblin army backing him let out a deafening roar, cheering for their sovereign.

Brandishing his dual lightning-fire blades, Wrath slammed his foot into the ground. Leveraging a high-explosive dash, he closed the distance in a fraction of a second, appearing directly before the Ice Dragon's face.

"Die!!"

Lightning flashed as a sea of fire erupted. The twin blades slashed down in unison.

Nia whipped her massive tail, sweeping a torrent of raging blizzard forward to completely deflect the dual strike. Her defensive parameters were incredibly staggering; she harbored zero fear toward Wrath's offensive output.

"Little brat, I acknowledge your raw strength, but the region beyond this point is not a sector you are permitted to approach. Leave at once!" Nia stated with a noble, chilling elegance, her eyes packed with heavy warning.

"Heh, I think I'll pass!" Wrath let out a cold laugh. Holding his twin swords, he dashed straight toward the Ice Dragon once more, unleashing a relentless flurry of slashes. He assumed Nia was simply wary of his strength and was making up random excuses to deter him.

"You arrogant fool!" Nia flew into a massive rage. An honorable, proud Ice Dragon had personally thrown you a diplomatic lifeline, yet this guy was completely refusing to take the exit. *Since you're so eager to meet your end, I'll gladly accommodate you.*

Just as Nia was preparing to completely unleash her full fury, three figures suddenly descended from the sky like gods dropping into the human realm, stepping directly between the two combatants.

"Everyone, do me a personal favor and drop the weapons. Can we call it a day here?" Shirazawa initiated his maximum diplomatic charisma. The suggestion successfully registered with Wrath, causing him to immediately lower his blades.

However, Nia's arrogance resistance happened to be maxed out, rendering the diplomatic approach completely ineffective. "Nia is incredibly pissed off right now, and I don't care who steps in. Get the hell out of my way!" she barked coldly. Her draconic wings flared, kicking up a massive hurricane that swept directly toward them.

"Heh, I'm afraid that's not up to you."

Shirazawa rolled his neck. His body transformed into a streak of light as he charged straight at Niya, instantly grabbing her by the tail before executing a flawless, high-velocity suplex.

*Boom!!*

Nia slammed heavily into the frozen ground. How could a proud Ice Dragon possibly yield so easily? "You bastard! Let go of me!" she shrieked, struggling frantically, but her entire body was pinned under an absolute physical lockdown.

Before she could process the impact, she was pulled into a reverse suplex, followed by a high-speed giant swing that sent her spinning through the air like a windmill.

*Wow—Boss, save me!!*

Güli-güli: *Apologies, but I can't actually beat this guy right now either.*

Within a single minute, Nia was subjected to over a dozen consecutive suplexes by Shirazawa, leaving her completely dazed, disoriented, and knocked out cold.

"Tsk tsk, how on earth did he get even more stronger?" Wrath muttered in absolute awe. That entire sequence of movements had been flawlessly smooth, clean, and incredibly stylish. It was a literal masterpiece combining the aesthetics of absolute violence and physical perfection; it looked completely awesome.

Shirazawa nodded to himself in absolute satisfaction. His physical abilities had been trained to an incredibly high tier over the past half year. As for the precise reason *why* he had focused so heavily on physical conditioning... anyone who knew the reality understood completely.

During the past six months, he had been drained by a certain spider more times than he could count. Every single time, Shirazawa would end up losing the battle of endurance, left completely pinned to the mattress for half the day, unable to climb out of bed. Having learned his lesson through absolute suffering, he had temporarily paused his deep research into the magical domains to focus entirely on achieving physical perfection—and the results were already showing a decent return on investment.

*The oppressed slave has finally stood up.*

*The Orcs will never be slaves!*

*Urah!!*

Suddenly, a familiar spatial portal materialized directly behind Shirazawa, and Güli-güli slowly stepped across the threshold after a long absence.

"Apologies. My subordinate has caused you all a massive amount of trouble." He maintained his usual humble, polite demeanor, immediately offering a sincere apology for Nia's unbridled rudeness.

The group didn't read too much into the incident. After all, they were already well-acquainted with Nia's awful personality, and since no actual damage had been done, Shirazawa simply waved his hand to signal it wasn't a big deal.

"I personally stationed Niya here to guard the depths of the Demon Spire Mountains. If possible, I would highly advise that you all refrain from advancing any further into this sector," Güli-güli stated, laying out the core purpose of his sudden arrival. He didn't want the secret anchored in the depths of the mountains to be uncovered by outsiders.

"Would you mind explaining the actual reason?" Wrath asked as the reality clicked. It turned out the Ice Dragon was acting under an official assignment, which was why she had been blocking his advance. It looked like he had heavily misunderstood her intentions.

The moment the question was voiced, everyone shifted their focus entirely toward Güli-güli. Their curiosity was thoroughly piqued; they all wanted to know exactly what kind of location Nia was working so hard to protect.
