CHAPTER 4 ✨
Train to Hogwarts 🚂

Jay-Jay's POV:
We (Me and Jani ofc) were sitting with Kuya Percy and Aries. We were talking, laughing and eating snacks, trying to absorb every little detail we could about wizarding world.
Some time passed by and I could see Percy getting restless. He couldn't sit still in one place for a long time, I could feel his bouncing legs beside me.
Me and jani were sitting by the window facing each other, beside me Percy and in front of him Aries.
Just then our compartment door was yanked by some people, they were Kuya Percy's best friends. I don't really remember their name it started with G and F, idk. But they were just as energetic as him, full of mischief and jokes.
"Oi, Percy will you sit here the whole ride or wanna prank some people with us?",
one of them asked Percy.
And Percy being himself instantly perked up and went with them, before saying,
"See you guys at the station, don't miss my handsome face too much."
Which meant, now he'll strut throughout the train ride and will not come back to our compartment. Finally!! peace from the continuous bouncing energy that was radiating from him.
Silence fell after he left. We all were doing our own things, which basically meant I was eating while Jani and Aries were reading some books (idk muggle or magical).
It wasn't long when our compartment door opened again. I expected one of Aries' friends but they weren't his friends, they were our friends (Me and Jani's ofc).
They were Lily and Severus. They looked a bit annoyed as if someone said some mean or awful things to them.
"Can we sit with you?" Lily asked politely.
"Ofc. Is that even a question you should ask?" I questioned back.
She just chuckled and sat down beside me, on Percy's empty space. Severus settled beside her.
We remained like that for a long time, as I could feel the annoyance radiating from Lily. Aries was the first one to break the silence.
"So Lily, how are you feeling, knowing that two of your best friends are also wizards?" He asked.
"I'm so freaking excited and happy about that, I can't even explain it in words." She replied.
A little bit of her usual perkiness returning.
"Imagine if we are all in the same house, that would be freaking awesome." I added.
"So, which house do you think you will be in?" Jani asked joining in the conversation.
"Idk maybe gryffindor with Kuya Percy, from what I've heard they are pretty cool." I replied to her with excitement.
"Not this again," said a drawling voice.
It was Severus. Wow so weird response. I frowned, confused about why he said that.
I raised a questioning eyebrow at Lily at Severus' weird response. She answered my look with a sigh, and started explaining.
Lily's POV:
*Flashback*
I had an argument with Petunia, after Jay-Jay and Jani left to say goodbye to their parents. She heard them talking about how their elder brothers were also Hogwarts students. She is just jealous that I get to go to a school to a different country and she didn't.
I felt like crying, but I can't cry infront of strangers so I held back my tears.
I was at a compartment looking at the scenery through the window, to feel calm. There were two more boys with me in the compartment, who were just whispering among themselves like they've known each other forever. But they looked 11 just like us.
I ignored them.
Then the compartment door slid open and Severus came and sat infront of me. I looked up and then realized that tears were already falling from my eyes, so I again turned my head towards the window.
"I don't want to talk to you."
"Why not?" he asked.
"T-Tuney h-hates me. Because we saw that l-letter from Dumbledore." I explained, my voice breaking because of tears.
"So what?"
I threw him a look of dislike.
"So, she's my sister!"
I said wiping my eyes.
"But we're going!" he said, not even trying to hide his exhilaration, while I was crying. "This is it! We're off to Hogwarts!"
I nodded unable to stop the smile. Yeah I'm going to Hogwarts with sev and ofc my two best friends and their elder brothers, who are like brothers to me too.
"You'd better be in Slytherin." He encouraged, seeing my smile.
"Slytherin?"
One of the boys whom we're sharing the compartment with, asked. He had black, curly hairs they waere sticking upwards. He was wearing glasses and had a good build. He looked athletic.
I have never seen someone like him before in my life.
What are you thinking Lily, I snapped out of it.
"Who wants to be in Slytherin? I think I would rather leave, wouldn't you?" He asked the boy lounging on the seats opposite him.
"My whole family had been in Slytherin." The other boy replied looking at his shoes.
"BLIMEY," said the first boy, "and I thought you seemed alright!"
"Maybe I will break the tradition." second boy said looking up and grinning. "Where are you heading, if you've got the choice?" he added.
The first boy pretended to pull a sword and lifted it.
"Gryffindor, 'where dwell the brave at hearts!' Like my dad!"
Snape snickered. The first boy turned to him.
"Got any problem with that?"
"No," Sev answered, "If you'd rather be brawny than brainy --"
"Where're you hoping to go, seeing as you're neither?" The second boy interjected.
The first boy roared with laughter.
I sat up with fury, how dare they mock him, that's it we're leaving from here. I looked at both the boys with dislike, yes look at my face and see the dislike.
"Come on, Severus, let's find another compartment."
"Come onnnnnnnnn...."
They mimicked me. Then one of them tried tripping Severus when he passed him.
"See ya, Snivellus!" They mocked him.
I slammed the compartment door. Took a deep breath to calm myself.
I started searching for a seat fuming, but after a few minutes, my anger calmed but I was still feeling annoyed. I continued searching, when I found Jani, Jay-Jay and Aries sitting in a compartment peacefully.
I entered their compartment and asked if I could sit with them.
*Flashback ended*
Jay-Jay's POV:
"Wow such jerks! How can they mock someone just because of their choice of house." I said now fuming.
"Exactly!" Lily said.
"Yeah. So immature." Jani commented.
"If I would have been there, I would have definitely punched one of them."
"That's why, thank god that you weren't there." Aries said
I frowned because he is someone who is fair to everyone, no biased opinion can ever comes from Aries.
"You would've been in trouble before even starting school, and Hogwarts doesn't let physical harm go unseen."
"Oh."
"Yeah 'oh'. Now listen guys don't be so angry its common in Hogwarts, rivalry between houses. Yeah, that doesn't justify those boys action but in wizarding world you could experience much worse.
"I don't have much knowledge about it, as I had been in Hogwarts just for a year and before that I was living like you people only. But, my one year experience has taught me, that every wizard and witch aren't friendly to each other, there are many differences among them.
"Like in muggle world there is class, First-class, middle-class and third-class, in wizarding world their is blood purity difference and Hogwarts house difference.
"In Hogwarts, its mainly Gryffindor vs Slytherin which is because of history and ideology. Because Slytherins doesn't like muggle-borns, meanwhile Gryffindors have no problem with them and also defends them."
He finished. There was a silence after that.
I looked between Lily and Severus, and by looking at him I guessed, he already knew about this, but didn't bother telling Lily and let her be angry. Because he looked rather proud, about what idk.
But Lily didn't understand it maybe because she's not really good at reading a person. Then again not everyone of our age is, but I learned it early because of some incidents. Don't think about that Jay.
Or maybe, she was too busy processing the info Aries just gave. Honestly I was shocked too.
Why do people discriminate others on the basis of their family line?
"Anyways now I will leave you guys to talk, I told my friends I will join them after getting my sisters settled."
He got up from his place and gathered his things and left to find his friends.
I opened my snacks packet and offered it to everyone, cuz sharing is caring. They all ate and we finished some more items together.
Just like that atmosphere returned to normal, we didn't discuss anything about Hogwarts House after that. We just ate, laughed and spend our train ride like normal friends normally do, or as much normal we were .
But I didn't get a good vibe from Snape, before I thought it was just because he was dull and not engaging with others, but now its not that as he was talking with Lily very much but not with us. Especially the way he reacted on the house rivalry thing Aries explained.
I ignored that for now, as Lily reacted so badly after those boys humiliated him, and I don't want to upset her, but I will definitely talk with Jani about this later.
*Later*
(After they reached the station and boarded the boats)
Our boats were moving magically together, gliding across the The Black Lake (Aries told us the name of the lake). The lake was as smooth as glass, reflecting every stars from the above sky.
The sky was starry here, unlike the cities we lived in. But our attention wasn't in the sky, it was on the castle we were going towards. I've seen some castles on our family trips, but never ever a one like this.
It was a massive, perched on top of a high mountain. Its window reflecting the stars just like the lake. It was gorgeous, beautiful.... I have no words in my dictionary that can describe this castle perfectly.
It was something I could have never imagined even though I've seen its photos which Kuyas sent. It was much grander standing infront of us in real life.

Yeah I used some lines from the og books, in the part of lily's flashback.
Well you guys are not commenting but I thought of continuing to write, because this is something that came to my mind out of nowhere and I don't want to write it in a notebook or something so I thought of writing it here where it will be saved till this app exists.
Now I will stop yapping.
