Lexi Pov
When I showed up to my shift at the grill, Mandy, the girl who had the shift before me, warned me that there were two guys who were drinking through almost all of our alcohol. I told her that I would handle it. I didn't plan on those men being an original vampire and the original hybrid.
"Damn it" I muttered under my breath when I saw Kol and Klaus sitting at the bar.
"Ah" Kol said, "I always remember a pretty face like yours. How was your night, Lexi?"
I swear I heard Klaus growl at Kol's words. I internally scoffed at Kol's antics, anything for the tips though. I put on a fake smile before meeting his eyes. "It was nice. Thank you for asking."
Before I could return the question, Klaus asked through gritted teeth, "You're Lexi?" When I met his eyes they were dark with anger and another emotion I couldn't read. I simply pointed to my name tag in response. My name tag read 'Hi I'm Lexi'. Kol could apparently read the other emotion in Niklaus' eyes as he started hysterically laughing at Klaus' reaction.
I rolled my eyes at the brothers and moved on the serve other customers. When I ended up behind the bar again, I watched Caroline enter. She was dressed to impressed and looked beautiful. When we made eye contact I mouthed 'you look hot'. She smiled at my words. She then came up to the bar where I gave her a drink.
I very quickly picked up on her trying to play hard-to-get with Klaus. I also noticed Klaus showing no interest in Caroline and even looked like he was trying to ignore her. When Caroline went up to Klaus he instantly shut her down.
After being rejected Caroline quickly exited the grill. I rolled my eyes and concluded that it was some weird Scooby gang business that I didn't want to be involved in.
When Klaus ordered another bottle I handed it to them along with two clean glasses and said, "And by the way, you can't compel me so you will actually need to pay for all this."
Klaus smiled at my words before saying, "No worries, Love. I have every intent of staying here as long as you are."
A few hours into my shift and Klaus and Kol are still here. There is also another man who has come in and is getting drunk. He's a regular so this isn't exactly a rare occurrence.
When I hand him his final drink before I cut him off, he grabs my wrist and pulls me towards him strongly. As a teenage girl who works in serving customers I wish I could say this was a rare occurrence. Before I can do anything Klaus and Kol are on either side of the man, Kol squeezing the man's wrist with his hand.
"Now that's no way to treat a lady." Klaus said before looking the man straight in the eyes and saying, "Let go of her arm and apologise."
The man let go of my arm and said: "I'm sorry."
"Good" Klaus said calmly, "Now leave, don't come back to this place and do not bother her again". Kol then made eye contact with Klaus. "And one last thing, I'd recommend going to the hospital for your arm."
I then wince at the sickening crunch the man's arm made under Kol's hand. The man then got up and left. The people at surrounding tables then began to whisper to each other and shot me concerned looks. I scoff and walk back to the bar. When Klaus and Kol sit back down I said, "Thanks for that but I can handle myself."
"Because that's what handling yourself looks like" Kol retorts.
"I have much better ways which happen to not involve me losing regular customers" I say without revealing my magic. When I reach for another glass to clean I then notice the bruise which is forming on my wrist. "Damn it" I whisper under my breath.
I then move into the kitchen where I quickly whisper a chant which heals the bruise instantly. When I return into the main room Kol asked, "What happened?"
I furrowed my brows slightly, confused as to what he was referring to. "What are you talking about?"
"Your bruise" Klaus finished gesturing to my now healed wrist.
"There never was a bruise" I lied showing my now clear wrist, "Like I said, it was fine."
After that incident I decided to leave my shift early and head home. When I got outside I heard someone behind me shouting, "Lexi, wait." I turned around to see Klaus chasing after me. I then waited impatiently for him to reach me.
"Yes, Klaus" I sais coldly.
"Don't be like that, Love."
"You know what? You and your best friend murdering habits can leave me alone."
"Well Elena is hardly dead-"
"Jenna, if you even remember her."
"Look, I'm sorry about that but talk to me. Come on take a chance, get to know me."
"Fine, whatever. What do you want to talk about?"
"I want to talk about you."
I let out a breathy laugh and roll my eyes at his antics.
"Your hopes, your dreams, everything you want in life." he continued.
"And just to be clear" I said, "I am way too smart to be seduced by you."
"I know" he said smirking at me, "That's one of the many things I like about you."
3rd person pov
Whilst Lexi and Klaus were talking outside, Alaric and Meredith were trying to act out their plan to dagger Kol. Key word 'trying' as Kol was showing no interest in Meredith. As Alaric realised this, he asked Damon what Kol might be more interested in.
"Try your niece" Damon said over the phone after having seen how Kol acted around Lexi the night before.
"Haha" Alaric said sarcastically.
"Seriously" Damon said, "He was all over her last night."
"And just then before she finished her shift." Meredith said as she was standing next to Ric.
"Bingo" Damon said.
"Oh you've gotta be kiddin-" Alaric started.
"Bye now" Damon said.

Alaric then quickly raced outside to see Lexi and Klaus sitting down and talking. Alaric approached the pair and said, "As much as I would truly hate to break this up, 1 Klaus, you are way too old for her 2 Lexi, Meredith needs you inside."
Klaus growled at Alaric's interruption. It was the first time he had gotten to speak to his mate properly and someone whose body who he borrowed was now ruining it.
"It's fine. I'll come back, Klaus" Lexi said as she stood up and followed him inside. "What does Meredith need?" Lexi asked Ric.
"Uhh just go over and ask her yourself." Ric said hoping that it would be enough to get Kol's attention without putting his niece at risk.
As soon as Lexi re-entered the bar Kol's eyes were on her. Before Lexi could even reach Meredith, Kol came up to her and said, "You weren't even gone 10 minutes, darling. Did you really miss me that much?"
"Nope, just forgot my car keys in my locker." Lexi said trying to excuse herself past Kol to get to Meredith.
Kol didn't move away which only pushed Lexi closer to him. When he hummed in response to her statement Lexi could feel his warm breath fanning over her collar bone. When she looked up to meet his eyes she saw his cheeky smirk and realised he knew exactly what he was doing.
Lexi sighed and continued to push past him. When she reached Meredith she asked, "Hey, what's up?"
"Oh nothing I was just going to ask if you uhh had seen my uh- phone?" she said. It didn't take a genius to piece together that she was lying, "I think I left it at you and Ric's apartment."
Just as Meredith finished speaking, Kol appeared next to the pair and said to Lexi, "Found your car keys yet?"
"Yep" she deadpanned taking them out of her pocket and jingling them knowing very well he had just watched her not enter the locker room.
Just as he was about to reply, Ric came up from behind Kol and daggered him, "Next time, take a hint" Ric said as he and Meredith moved his body away.
STUPID SCOOBY GANG SHIT
Lexi rolled her eyes before leaving, passing a very angry Klaus on her way out.
Lexi Pov
Once I got home after my shift I got changed started working on some homework. After a few hours I decided to watch a movie and wait for Ric to come home. When it was around 2am I decided to call it a night so I texted Ric and then fell into what felt like a sleep induced coma.
For the second morning in a row I was woken up to the sound of a ringtone, this time it was my ring time though. "This better be life and death" I say having not checked the contact name.
"Lexi?" I hear Sheriff Forbes voice say.
"Yes" I respond.
"I need you to come down to the station"
"Why?"
"It's Alaric"
I fake a gasp, "Ric got arrested again, wow I am a getting crazy deja vu. Have I told you about the last time I had to bail him out? Crazy story it was aroun-"
"Lexi"
"That is my name"
"He's been arrested as a murder suspect"
Ah for fuc-
"I'll be there soon"
Of course Ric had to get arrested.
I put on some bike shorts, sneakers and one of my ex-boyfriends hoodies (the only thing I got out of that relationship).
By the time I reached the station Elena and Damon were already there. "Where my uncle and his murderous tendencies?" I announce getting some judgemental looks from people around me.
As I arrived Elena seemed to get the final word with Damon in and then walked off. "Come on" he said before walking outside. When we got to the parking lot he asked me if I wanted to meet him and Stefan at the grill for lunch and talk about Ric's 'situation' which I agreed to.
When Stefan, Damon and I arrived at the grill I instantly noticed Rebekah talking to Carol. Lacking supernatural hearing, I couldn't hear what they were saying. When we walked past I smiled at Rebekah which she returned despite her nervous demeanour.
When Damon and Stefan started talking about how the victims were linked I zoned out not interested in the conversation. I was snapped out of my daze when Rebekah came up to us, joining our conversation. She sat down next to Stefan and me, Damon on my other side.
When they started talking about the Salvatore family history I kept quiet focussing on the drink in front of me. "Tell me more about your old relatives, I hear they tore down entire forest to build this town" Rebekah said.
There is no way she is actually enjoying this history lesson.
Why is she so interested in this tree?
Why would an immortal care so much about a tree?

"Careful blondie, it's a brothers night plus Lexi and as much fun as this has been, you are treading in dangerous waters" Damon said as him, Stefan and I walked over to the dart board. Rebekah then followed us over.
As Damon and I were playing darts he asked, "So if it was Sage killing everyone back in 1912, who the hell is doing it now? It's not that psycho doctor fell. She's a woman, there's no way she could stab three grown men."
Rebekah then caught the dart he was throwing, "That's a bit sexist." Rebekah said as she handed the dart to me, smiling when our hands touched lightly, "A woman could easily kill a man, with the right motivation."
"Correction, no woman other than You, Lexi or Katherine could easily kill a man." Damon said, correcting himself. I then collected my darts for my turn. Rebekah tried to hide her confusion as to how I could kill a man.
I zoned out yet again as I threw my darts. Only now noticing the effect the drinks were having on me. After my turn Damon who was familiar with my tipsy state placed his hand on the small of my back, guiding me to a seat next to Stefan. This action simply earnt him a harsh glare from Rebekah.
