Lin Xiao tried to get some more out of me before she walked back over to Huang Wei, allowing me to keep everything to myself and returning me to my silent observation as we pushed forwards through these tunnels.
It was odd how nervous that single question made me, like I was worried that her just being close to me would somehow allow her to figure everything out immediately and cause problems for me because of my horrible proficiency at lying.
I wasn't exactly that 'honorable' of a person or whatever to be above lying, but I knew for a fact that I was horrible at it and never wanted to be in a situation where I had to do it, least of all in front of someone who I really didn't know.
