As more and more of this gigantic serpent slithered free from wherever it had come from, it slowly rose off of the ground and loomed over us, dwarfing us completely in this cavern and dominating our senses as it shrouded us in its shadow.
Each fang shimmered as venom seeped out of them, dripping down from its parted maw and catching what little light curled around the giant monster as it stared down at us with an agonizing amount of patience.
It was clearly deliberate too since its forked tongue continued to flick out as it tasted the air, its head shifting from side to side as it stared at all of us individually, like it was searching for which of us to eat first.
As it shifted its gaze from one to another, our options only became more and more limited as its long body continued to slide out of the tunnel and into this cavern, occupying more and more space that we were now incapable of utilizing.
