The journey home after that was a quiet one, and upon returning to the house I immediately went out to our training area and resumed swinging the halberd hundreds - if not thousands - of times before finally relenting.
Just simply jogging around Needlepoint Peak all day long barely qualified as something that would exhaust me, especially at this point in my training; that wasn't to say that I wasn't tired, but I still had the energy to utilize my will to improve for a little while longer.
I will admit though that the moment I let the warm water of the bath wash over me my eyelids felt like they had been converted into strips of metal, crashing down constantly and feeling impossible to keep open for longer than a few seconds.
That was when I knew I needed to get upstairs and go to sleep, and my body hadn't even hit the mattress before I was already fast asleep, everything going dark as I just faded into unconsciousness and started replenishing my energy for tomorrow.
