Chapter 49 - Old Tales

The further I got from the training grounds the clearer my mind became, and it felt like putting distance between Vivian and myself was really what was helping instead of the loud and almost overcrowded sand pit that was used for open training.

That lingering chill made me shiver a few times, and after that third chill ran up my spine I couldn't fight the urge to look over my shoulder, wondering if someone was staring at me; when I did I immediately regretted it, because as I swept my eyes over the crowded area I thought I saw to pinpricks of sharp silver boring into me, but after I blinked it was gone.

I must have been imagining things though, because there was absolutely no reason for Vivian Lucreiza to be looking at me... at least, I thought so and was honestly hoping so, because if someone like her was going to be looking at me, that was just trouble.
