Chapter 4 - The ovserver's mark

đź“– Chapter 111: The Observer's Mark

The sphere of light hovered above the ground, pulsing like a living heart. Nahian stood motionless, feeling something press against his mind.

Not pain. Not force.

Recognition.

"You are not native to this timeline," the voice said again.

Nahian clenched his teeth. "Stop talking inside my head."

A faint distortion appeared in front of him—like reality itself was bending.

A symbol formed in the air.

A mark.

And in the next second, it burned itself invisibly into Nahian's energy field.

He stepped back.

"What did you do to me?"

The voice replied calmly:

"Marked. For observation. For correction."

The sphere slowly closed… then vanished as if it had never been there.

But the mark remained.

đź“– Chapter 112: Broken Signal Network

Deep underground, the ancient system reacted violently.

All monitoring stations activated at once.

ERROR. ERROR. ERROR.

A red alert spread across the entire hidden network.

One technician screamed, "It's spreading across all nodes!"

Another shouted, "We didn't authorize activation!"

But the system responded on its own:

PRIMARY SUBJECT INTERACTION DETECTED

OBSERVER RESPONSE REQUIRED

The screens flickered and showed Nahian's face from multiple angles—angles that shouldn't exist.

A senior scientist whispered:

"This means… the Observer has already touched him."

Silence followed.

Because everyone knew what that meant.

There was no going back.

đź“– Chapter 113: Nahian's Resistance

Nahian walked alone through the empty field, trying to steady his breathing.

Every step felt slightly different now. The world looked sharper… too sharp.

He could hear things he shouldn't.

A bug crawling under soil.

A distant city siren hours away.

Even heartbeat patterns from people miles off.

He stopped.

"This isn't normal…"

He pressed his hands to his head, trying to shut it off.

"Get out… get out…"

But instead of fading, the sensations increased.

A new voice—his own, but deeper—spoke inside him:

"You are expanding."

Nahian froze.

"I didn't ask for this."

The voice replied:

"Evolution does not ask permission."

For the first time, fear appeared in Nahian's eyes.

đź“– Chapter 114: The Fragmented World

Reality itself began to glitch around him.

A tree flickered between states—alive, dead, mechanical, organic.

The sky briefly showed another version of itself: darker, shattered, burning.

Nahian stepped back.

"What is happening to this world?"

A ripple passed through space.

And suddenly, a second version of Nahian appeared ten meters away.

Same face.

Same body.

But different eyes—cold, emotionless.

The second Nahian spoke:

"You are unstable."

Nahian's breathing became heavy. "Who are you?"

"I am what you will become… if you fail."

The duplicate raised its hand.

Energy gathered instantly.

Nahian prepared to defend himself—but hesitated.

Because deep inside, he felt it—

That thing was not lying.

đź“– Chapter 115: Collision of Selves

The attack came instantly.

A shockwave of compressed energy launched toward Nahian.

He dodged barely, rolling across the ground as the terrain exploded behind him.

"Stop!" Nahian shouted.

But the other version didn't stop.

It moved faster than him. Stronger than him. More stable.

Each strike forced Nahian backward.

"You resist your own evolution," the duplicate said coldly.

Nahian wiped blood from his lip. "I don't want your evolution."

The duplicate paused for a moment.

Then it said something that froze him:

"You already chose it."

A memory flashed in Nahian's mind.

A moment he didn't remember making a choice… yet something inside him confirmed it.

The battlefield memory returned.

The promise.

The voice.

The curse.

Nahian lowered his hands slightly.

"Then… what am I supposed to do?"

The duplicate answered quietly:

"Survive yourself."

And the battle resumed.
