"There is no need; I can walk," Wayne said as he turned to enter the water.
"I suggest you wait until you have healed before you leave. If you die, that female will be heartbroken," Xie said.
He then turned to the merman beside him and ordered, "Take him to my dwelling."
Wayne looked at Xie; his attitude made it clear that he did not want him to leave.
He had just mentioned Euphoria—was he interested in her? This thought made Wayne furious; he bared his fangs at Xie and prepared to attack him.
However, a merman had already grabbed him. He struggled, but it only made his injuries hurt more.
Wayne watched as he was pulled into the water by the merman toward the white building where they had previously lived.
Xie's lips curved into a slight smile; he seemed to be in a good mood.
He had initially planned to try to win that female over, but her mate had delivered himself to his doorstep. Now, he could simply wait for her there.
