Chapter 157
After confirming that Euphoria was safe, Luce took her and Cara to find Hayes and the others.
"Luce, is Seth dead?" Euphoria asked, remembering what happened that day.
Luce shook his head and replied, "He was badly injured, but he survived. Hank took him away."
Euphoria figured Seth would not die that easily, but if the lion-like beast had not bitten him that day, they would not have escaped Hank and his group.
"Who was that lion-like beast? Do you know him?" Euphoria asked.
"Yes," Luce answered calmly. "He is Wayne's father, Mallory."
Euphoria noticed that Luce's expression was quite cold, and she wondered if it was just her imagination.
However, Euphoria still felt something was odd. It made sense that the orc had warned them beforehand; he must have recognized Wayne at the time.
Judging by his appearance, he had not found Peg. That made sense; Peg was at the bottom of the sea, so he would be very hard to track down.
