The Evil King watched Kaia with a glint of amusement, essentially waiting to see how she would justify herself. In truth, his earlier command to stay away wasn't a request for a solution—he simply wanted her out of his sight and back with the others. Still, her claim of having a "plan" piqued his interest.
Kaia pressed her lips together, gauging his slightly diminished temper before speaking. "Those two males care about nothing more than their mate. If we capture her and use her as leverage, they'll be forced to tell us everything."
The Evil King raised an eyebrow, offering her a cryptic, half-smile. He had already considered this tactic, but he found it lackluster; pushing those males too far might only make them more difficult to manage.
Kaia scrutinized his expression, desperately trying to discern if he was satisfied with her proposal.
After a brief pause, the Evil King relented. "Very well. I'll leave it to you."
