Lilia remembered the horror of her first night and panicked, fighting back with everything she had as the Illusion King dragged her out of the room. He had already called for his eagle-beast, planning to take her back to Hayes. But before they could leave, a scout sprinted in, looking terrified. "Illusion King... we lost Hayes's scent."
The Illusion King's face turned into a mask of pure rage. He was about to kill the scout when the man quickly added, "But... we found another female on the coast whose profile matches our target perfectly."
The king's anger cooled. He looked at Lilia, who was relieved because she thought she was finally safe, and asked coldly, "If you found her, why didn't you grab her?"
The scout swallowed hard. "That female is currently guarded by a Level 4 beast. Our squad isn't strong enough to get past him."
The Illusion King's eyes turned cold and calculating. "Get the elite strike force. We leave now."
