"Why is there no one here?"
After walking in, Ning Rongrong glanced around, but there wasn't a single person in sight.
Lin Xian wasn't in the dormitory at all.
"Rongrong, wait here for a moment. I'll go wake him up."
Ning Rongrong froze, then watched as Zhu Zhuqing vanished right in front of her eyes…
What kind of technique was that?
It genuinely startled her.
These two had far too many secrets.
Could this be something Lin Xian came up with as well?
Thinking about it, Ning Rongrong found herself growing more and more curious about him.
—
Zhu Zhuqing arrived at Moon Sea Cottage and stepped into the room, only to see Lin Xian still lying in bed.
"I know you're awake. Get up already. I brought her here."
"I can't get up. You weren't here last night—I didn't sleep well."
"Do I really make that much of a difference?"
"Of course. I want to hold a soft, fragrant little kitten, not this cold blanket."
Zhu Zhuqing smiled helplessly and leaned down, gently wrapping her arms around him.
"Is this enough?"
"No, it's still missing something."
"You haven't even washed up yet…"
The moment she said that, Lin Xian sprang up in a single motion and flipped off the bed.
He rushed to the side and washed up at lightning speed.
—
Meanwhile, Ning Rongrong waited for quite a while, eventually sitting down on a nearby chair.
Does waking someone up really take this long?
Could it be…
She had read before that a man's energy is at its peak when he wakes up.
With Zhu Zhuqing going in like that… wasn't that like a sheep entering a tiger's den?
Just as her imagination began to wander, a faint ripple of spirit power passed through the air. Zhu Zhuqing and Lin Xian appeared in front of her once more.
Even though she had already seen it once, she was still startled, quickly standing up and stepping back.
Lin Xian, however, was momentarily stunned when he saw Ning Rongrong.
She was dressed in a delicate pink maid outfit, both playful and elegant.
The top featured classic white lace trimming along the neckline and cuffs. The slightly raised collar framed her slender neck perfectly.
The outfit was fitted snugly, with a narrow black ribbon tied at her waist, accentuating her graceful, willow-like figure.
Below, she wore a high-waisted short skirt of the same color, its hem decorated with fine white lace. As she moved, it swayed lightly, adding a lively, cute charm.
The skirt was just long enough to cover her thighs, revealing a stretch of fair, slender calves.
On her feet were light pink lace-up shoes, adorned with delicate bows that complemented the outfit, making her look even more refined and adorable.
What satisfied Lin Xian the most were her lively twin tails.
Her hair was neatly parted into two sections, falling down to her waist on either side, each strand gleaming with a natural sheen.
Pink ribbon ties secured them, while a few loose strands framed her face, giving her a soft, shy air.
In this state, Lin Xian would give her a perfect score.
Entirely deserved—not because of any strange preferences.
"How is it?"
Seeing him staring at her, Ning Rongrong asked softly.
"Very beautiful. As expected of my exclusive little maid—you've done well."
At his praise, the corners of Ning Rongrong's lips lifted slightly, revealing two faint dimples, like flowers blooming in spring.
"Let's go eat. Beauty may be pleasing to the eye, but I'm still hungry."
"Then you can bully Zhuqing as much as you like. I'll just wait here."
So considerate.
Too considerate.
Hearing that, Zhu Zhuqing recalled what had just happened and couldn't help but blush.
"You're his little maid now—why shouldn't he bully you? With how pink and delicate you look, you must smell nice too."
Facing Zhu Zhuqing's counterattack, Ning Rongrong refused to back down and puffed out her chest.
"Alright, Rongrong, stop. The difference between you two isn't small. No matter how much you puff it out, it won't help."
"Aaaaah! You're so mean!"
Seeing her flustered, Lin Xian laughed.
"Enough. Let's go eat first. Since you behaved well, I'll take you to a secret space later. Also… what should you call me?"
Honestly, as a maid, she had no sense of proper conduct at all.
His words immediately caught Ning Rongrong's attention.
She was already curious about how they disappeared and reappeared like that.
She'd find out soon enough.
With that thought, she sweetly called out:
"Master~"
Lin Xian inhaled sharply.
"Be normal. Don't use that tone."
"Then what should I do? Will Master punish me?"
Ning Rongrong blinked at him, clearly teasing.
"I…"
After a brief pause, Lin Xian simply opened the door and walked out.
This Little Witch really was something. No wonder she had turned the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School upside down.
Of course, she only dared to act like this after talking with Zhu Zhuqing yesterday.
She now had a decent understanding of Lin Xian's personality.
—
When the three of them reached the cafeteria, they ran into Xiao Wu at the entrance.
It was obvious she hadn't slept well.
What happened last night must have hit her hard.
With a single glance, Lin Xian knew she must have verified it herself.
And the answer had clearly disappointed her.
He just didn't know when this little rabbit would come looking for him.
But he had plenty of time.
Besides, he had a little maid and a little cat girl by his side.
Xiao Wu also noticed Ning Rongrong's beautiful outfit. Comparing it to her own haggard state, she felt inexplicably worse.
After exchanging greetings, they entered the cafeteria together.
Tang San was already there, wolfing down his food.
Seeing his somewhat disheveled appearance, Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing instinctively kept their distance.
Lin Xian, however, walked straight over.
"Morning, Tang San. What happened to you? Did someone bully you? Want me to help you get revenge?"
"No, no need. I was cultivating in the wild, so I look a bit messy. It's nothing."
Tang San glanced up briefly, ignoring Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing as usual, and spotted Xiao Wu behind them.
"Xiao Wu, come here quickly. I already got food for you!"
He shifted aside, making space for her.
"I'll get it myself. Thanks."
After saying that, Xiao Wu turned and left without another glance.
Her coldness surprised Tang San, but he didn't think much of it.
He'd just explain things to her later.
He believed Xiao Wu would definitely forgive him.
