Chapter 42 - Chapter 42 Lovely Bonus

They didn't even turn on the lights when they reached the mansion.

They walked straight up the stairs, locked the bedroom door, and fell onto the soft bed.

The dark room instantly lit up with a bright, glowing light.

Sam's Golden Core was much stronger now that he had reached the middle level.

His fire was massive and pure.

As they connected, he injected his thick, warm Yang Qi deeply into her body.

The sudden rush of power was overwhelming.

Natasha gasped loudly, her hands gripping his shoulders tightly.

The rich energy filled her pathways so fast that the room seemed to spin.

She almost passed out from the intense, beautiful heat.

But her Yin energy quickly rose up to meet his, creating a perfect, balanced circle between them.

After a long time, the glowing light softly dimmed.

Natasha rested her bare chest against his, breathing heavily.

A deep, satisfied smile was on her beautiful face.

She could feel the pure Qi settling into her bones.

"I feel so much stronger,"

Natasha whispered, her voice still a little breathless.

"Your foundation is getting very solid,"

Sam agreed, gently stroking her red hair.

"You are changing, Nat. You are not just a human spy anymore."

Natasha nodded slowly. She thought about her recent missions for S.H.I.E.L.D.

"You are right,"

Natasha said softly, looking up at his calm face.

"I haven't used my guns in a long time. They just feel slow and heavy now."

"You don't miss shooting?"

Sam asked with a small, curious smile.

"Not at all,"

Natasha laughed quietly.

"Flying daggers are much more convenient. I can control them with my mind, and they are completely silent. Plus, they are far more dangerous."

She traced a light circle on Sam's chest with her finger.

"When I infuse my silver daggers with your Yin Qi, they can cut through absolutely anything. I fought some armored guards last week. Their bulletproof glass was just like wet paper to me."

Sam smiled proudly. He loved hearing how confident and powerful his woman had become.

"Then you need more energy to fuel those daggers,"

Sam whispered, his voice turning deep and husky.

His Golden Core spun rapidly inside him. The heat in his body flared up again.

He was not finished sharing his energy for the night.

Sam gently grabbed Natasha by the waist.

He smoothly rolled her over, pushing her face down onto the soft pillows of the bed.

Natasha didn't resist at all. She completely melted into the mattress, loving his dominant, gentle strength.

Sam moved close behind her. He pressed his body against hers, lining up their energy pathways perfectly.

He injected another massive, powerful wave of his warm Qi right from behind.

The heavy energy rushed straight up her spine, wrapping around her soul and filling her with absolute warmth.

Natasha closed her eyes and gave a deep, low groan.

She pressed her face into the pillows, completely lost in how incredibly good it felt.

There were no more words needed.

The rest of the night was filled only with glowing light and the perfect harmony of Yin and Yang.

A few hours later, the glowing light in the bedroom finally faded.

Sam and Natasha lay together in the dark, completely exhausted but deeply happy.

Suddenly, a very loud rumbling sound came from Natasha's stomach.

She laughed softly and covered her face with her hands.

"Dual cultivation is amazing,"

Natasha whispered into the quiet room.

"But it burns so much energy. I am starving."

Sam chuckled and kissed her bare shoulder.

"Me too,"

Sam agreed, sitting up and stretching his arms.

"Our bodies need fuel after using that much Qi. Let's get some food."

They didn't want to cook. Instead, Sam called a 24-hour delivery place and ordered five extra-large boxes of pizza with everything on them.

When the food arrived, they put on some comfortable, loose clothes and brought the boxes right into the bedroom.

They sat cross-legged on the bed, eating hot, cheesy pizza right out of the cardboard boxes.

Natasha took a huge bite of a pepperoni slice. She closed her eyes happily.

"I have to admit something,"

Natasha smiled, picking up her second slice.

"This is absolutely the best bonus of being a Cultivator."

Sam looked at her, tilting his head in confusion.

"What is? The extended lifespan? The flying daggers?"

"No,"

Natasha laughed warmly, shaking her head.

"The calories."

She pointed to the five massive boxes of pizza sitting between them.

"Before I met you, my entire life was strictly controlled. I had to watch every single thing I ate and drank to stay in perfect fighting shape. If I ate a whole pizza, I would have to run for miles the next day."

Natasha took another happy bite and chewed smoothly.

"But now? My Yin Qi burns through all the extra fat and calories instantly. The energy just turns into pure power."

She looked down at her perfectly flat, toned stomach and then gave

Sam a playful smirk.

"I read the old books you gave me. It said female cultivators are always slim, youthful, and beautiful, no matter how much they eat. I really, really love this path, Sam."

Sam smiled warmly at her.

"You were beautiful long before the magic, Nat,"

Sam told her honestly.

"But seeing you this relaxed and free makes me very happy."

They continued to eat their late-night snack, enjoying the simple, quiet moment together.

But the peace didn't last very long.

Suddenly, Sam's secure S.H.I.E.L.D. phone began to ring loudly on the nightstand.

Sam let out a soft sigh. He picked up his third slice of pizza in one hand and answered the phone with the other.

"Tell me this is good news, Fury,"

Sam said casually, taking a bite.

"It is not,"

Nick Fury's deep, stressed voice came through the speaker.

He sounded completely exhausted and very angry.

Natasha stopped eating. Her sharp spy instincts woke up instantly.

"What happened?"

Sam asked, putting his pizza down. His voice turned serious.

"We have a massive problem, Sam,"

Fury explained, his voice grim.

"Our most secure underground base was just attacked. Someone came through a portal from the sky and completely destroyed the place. We lost good men."

Fury took a heavy, tired breath.

"The Tesseract is missing. Someone stole it."

Sam looked across the bed at Natasha.

The fun and games were over. The real war they had been waiting for had finally arrived.

Sam hung up the phone. He looked at Natasha.

"Get dressed,"

Sam said, his voice completely steady.

"We need to go to New York right now."

An hour later, they walked out of the elevator at Stark Tower.

The penthouse living room was already busy.

Tony was standing by his large holographic screens, looking very serious.

Steve was sitting on the couch. Right next to him was Peggy.

Peggy looked amazing. The Longevity Pill had fully settled into her body.

She looked exactly twenty-five years old, her eyes sharp and completely ready for a fight.

"Sam,"

Tony said, looking away from the glowing screens.

"Fury just gave me the short version. A glowing blue magic cube was stolen by a guy holding a spear. What exactly are we dealing with?"

Sam walked to the center of the room. Natasha stood right beside him.

"We are dealing with an alien god,"

Sam explained simply.

"His name is Loki. He is not from Earth. He stole the Tesseract, which holds endless cosmic energy. And he has a weapon that can control minds."

Natasha crossed her arms. Her green eyes were cold and highly focused.

"I saw the security footage from the underground base,"

Natasha said, her voice tight.

"Loki didn't just take the cube. He took our people. He brainwashed several agents to work for him. One of them is Clint Barton."

Tony frowned. Steve clenched his strong fists.

Clint was a master archer and one of Natasha's oldest friends.

Knowing he was being controlled by an enemy made the air in the room feel very heavy.

"We will get him back, Nat,"

Sam promised, looking right at her.

He then turned to look at the rest of the group.

"But right now, we have a puzzle to solve. We need to find the cube before Loki uses it to open a door to space and bring an alien army here."

"How do we track a cosmic cube?"

Peggy asked, her sharp spy mind already working on the problem.

"The Tesseract gives off a very specific kind of energy,"

Tony answered, tapping on his screen.

"Low-level gamma radiation. I can set up a global scan to look for it, but it is complicated. I need someone who understands gamma radiation better than I do."

"Exactly,"

Sam nodded.

"We need one more member for this team. We need Dr. Bruce Banner."

Steve looked worried. He had read the S.H.I.E.L.D. files.

"Banner?"

Steve asked cautiously.

"You mean the man who turns into the Hulk? Fury's files say he is incredibly volatile. He destroys everything when he gets angry."

"He is dangerous to normal people,"

Sam smiled slightly, feeling the warm, endless power of his Golden Core inside his chest.

"But we are not normal people anymore. If we want to win this war against gods and aliens, we need the big guy."

Sam looked back at Natasha.

"Nat, I need you to use the S.H.I.E.L.D. network. Track Clint's movements. Find out where Loki is hiding him."

Natasha nodded firmly. She was ready to do whatever it took to save her partner.

"What about you?"

Tony asked.

"I am going to India,"

Sam answered, turning toward the elevator.

"I am going to recruit Dr. Banner."
