Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: Kill, Devour

At that moment, the sound of wind breaking echoed from the sky.

The heavily damaged G-William Fusion was not dead.

It forcibly stabilized its body mid-fall, the flesh at its severed arm writhing frantically as dense bone spurs and tentacles actually sprouted forth.

The sliced wing-span on its back had also barely healed. Though its flight posture was crooked, it still took to the air once more, diving down from Lilith's rear upper flank!

The newly grown tentacle arm fused with the other bone-spur arm, forming a wide, heavy spiked giant hammer, as all twelve eyes simultaneously lit up with a crimson glow.

One shattered head fused and transformed with the other, as serrated teeth filled its entire head.

The next moment, that fused head suddenly split open, forming an abyssal maw similar to a worm's.

It was gathering strength, preparing to launch an all-out diving heavy strike.

Lilith still did not look back.

But the twenty-four bone blades on her back seemed to come alive at this moment, suddenly spreading outward!

Then, with high-frequency vibrations, the end of every bone blade split into tiny secondary bone blades, like blooming peach blossom branches, forming a dense network of bone blades.

"Puff puff puff puff puff—!!!"

The diving body of the G-William Fusion crashed solidly into this network of bone blades.

The kinetic energy of the dive combined with the sharpness of the bone blades produced a terrifying cutting effect.

Its chest and abdomen were pierced by at least eight bone blades, its newly grown tentacle arm was shredded, and the already damaged wing-span on its back was completely torn apart.

Dark red blood and shattered internal organs splattered down from mid-air, staining Lilith and the ruins below into a filthy mess.

Only then did Lilith slowly withdraw her claws from the skull of the Stalker Modified.

The tips of her claws brought out a large mass of writhing brain tissue. Without even looking, she stuffed it directly into her mouth, her sharp teeth closing as she chewed and swallowed.

Even after losing its brain, this monster was still struggling.

The smashed skull was regenerating, and the tentacles on its back were growing back as well.

The fusion of the g-virus and t-virus gave it an almost immortal vitality.

As long as they weren't completely killed, they could resurrect infinitely, and in the process of resurrection, evolve.

But Lilith did not intend to give it time.

Her Wing Blades lifted and slashed down.

It wasn't a decapitation, but a dismemberment.

The left Wing Blade severed all the tentacle roots of the Stalker Modified.

The right Wing Blade sliced off the joints of its limbs.

The bone spear of her tail-whip pierced its Torso again and again, crushing any regeneration core that might exist inside.

Every strike took away large chunks of flesh, and Lilith wasted none of it; she devoured even as she dismembered.

Those severed tentacles, Bone Armor fragments, and writhing muscle tissue were all stuffed into her mouth. Her Gene Dominator talent operated at full capacity, frantically deconstructing, analyzing, and plundering the energy within.

The regeneration speed of the Stalker Modified began to fall behind the speed of destruction and devouring.

Its ten-meter-tall body shrank rapidly, changing from a complete monster into a mutilated Torso, then into a remnant consisting only of a skull and part of a spine... Finally, when Lilith's claws pierced deep into its chest cavity and dug out that still-beating crystal core.

The monster's regeneration finally stopped.

Lilith crushed the core and swallowed the fragments along with it.

Then, Lilith turned around and looked at the G-William Fusion behind her, which was still trying to struggle.

That monster had lost the ability to fly and was crawling through the ruins with its tattered body. New buds of flesh at its severed limbs writhed frantically, attempting to reorganize its limbs or even evolve.

Lilith spread her Wing Blades and moved her four limbs to stand before it.

The shadow of her twenty-five-meter wing-span completely enveloped the G-William Fusion.

Extending the claws of her left forelimb, Lilith grabbed the monster's head, which had evolved into an abyssal maw.

The right Wing Blade rose and pressed against its neck.

There was no roar, no declaration.

Only clean and efficient cutting, devouring, and deconstruction.

Twenty minutes later.

In the center of the ruins, Lilith slowly straightened her body.

The surface of her Bone Armor was covered in dark red filth, and bits of flesh and fascia hung from the edges of her Wing Blades, but her four crimson pupils remained cold and clear.

At her feet were two pools of flesh that were almost unrecognizable.

All tissues of the G-William Fusion and the Stalker Modified had been completely destroyed and devoured, and even their basic cellular structures had collapsed under the erosion of the Blood Domain.

The tyrannical aura permeating the air was rapidly dissipating.

Lilith spread her Wing Blades and vibrated them gently, shaking off the filth clinging to her body.

She looked toward the southwest, the direction in which Alice had teleported away.

This round was over.

But she knew this wouldn't be the last time she encountered that mysterious Hive Lord.

The next time they met... a cold light flashed deep within Lilith's crimson eyes.

She turned, her Wing Blades spreading, and flew toward the outskirts of Raccoon City.

Now that all tasks were completed, there was no need to stay here any longer.

Furthermore, the nuclear bomb should be scheduled soon... Raccoon City, Underground Research Institute.

In a certain encrypted database left behind by Umbrella, a line of status had just been updated.

[[Tyrant-Alien Chimera] combat data collection complete... Threat rating updated... Extremely Dangerous...]

"Crack—!"

The ceiling above shattered as a sharp claw pierced through, grabbing directly onto the data console that was broadcasting.

The claws closed and tore; inside the damaged data console, a pink brain about to lose its life appeared. The claws curved, hooking the brain and retracting it through the hole in the ceiling, followed immediately by a hair-raising sound of chewing.

"Ding! Devoured spiritual lifeform, obtained Spiritual Spores gene..."

...At this time, somewhere on Blue Star, Alice saw the data fed back and a smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

As she had guessed, the Dungeon World existed in reality, but as for where it was, that remained unknown.

The function of the Bio-brain was to transmit information, just like a satellite, emitting a signal that would keep transmitting until it reached its location.

Although she didn't know how much time had passed in the Dungeon World, at least all current guesses had been confirmed, and she had even obtained some extraordinary news.

"A second form, that really is a surprise..."

The reason she left those two unformed Guards, besides stalling it, was to see the opponent's true strength.

She also wanted to do the other party a favor since these two modified plot BOSSes were enough to pull the Hunter's rating straight up.

She just didn't expect the opponent to give her a fright instead.

If the opponent had used this form against her earlier.

She definitely wouldn't have been able to get away.

Extreme speed, extreme strength, and extreme defense—even the spiritual power was terrifyingly strong.

This all-around enhanced Corpse Slaughter Hunter was enough to break through her spiritual teleportation and strangle her on the path of teleportation... But if the opponent really did that, it would have been a true case of mutual destruction... Meanwhile, in America, Washington D.C., the deep underground command center of the The Pentagon.

In a central control room of over three hundred square meters, thirty-seven giant LCD screens occupied an entire wall.

The images on the screens were divided into dozens of windows: infrared thermal imaging, satellite bird's-eye views, and constantly refreshing data streams.

But at this moment, all screens were focused on the same coordinate—Raccoon City.

The moment the illusion shattered, everything in Raccoon City was completely exposed under the eyes of low-orbit satellites.

And they also saw that terrifying battle!

The g-virus, Tyrants, and an unknown killing machine.

Whether in size or power, these creatures far exceeded their imagination; these were biological weapons capable of subverting a nation.

While everyone was afraid, endless excitement also welled up in their hearts.

Because the value was too great—great enough to make America the true hegemon of the world...
