Chapter 11: Something Strange on the Road.
Clara finally released her embrace from Asta, though the young man's hands were still reluctant to let go of her hips. She turned toward me and Aunt Vivian, then smiled gently.
"Vivian… there's something I need to tell you first," Clara said softly. Her voice was still slightly hoarse from the hug earlier.
"Leon… he's lost his memory. Ever since the high fever last night, he barely remembers anything. He only remembers me because I introduced myself as his mother."
Aunt Vivian furrowed her brows, her previously flirtatious expression shifting into one of concern. She slowly released her hug from me, but her hand remained on my waist.
"Seriously? Poor thing…" she murmured. "So what now?"
Clara let out a soft sigh before continuing.
"I already asked Master Crowe for help, but he said his abilities aren't enough to restore Leon's memories yet. That's why… I'm asking you for help, Vivian. Please help a little to recover his memory. Tell him a bit about Leon's past, about our family, about this village. Maybe something will help him remember."
Aunt Vivian nodded slowly. Her eyes, which had been playful earlier, were now full of attention as she looked at me.
"Alright. Auntie will help as much as I can. Tonight we'll talk slowly, okay, Leon dear?" She gently stroked my cheek, and her smile returned — this time warmer.
Hearing that, I nodded politely, trying to keep my voice calm even though my heart was still pounding hard from the earlier hug.
"Thank you in advance, Auntie."
Aunt Vivian smiled in satisfaction and nodded quickly.
"Of course, of course—!"
The atmosphere in the room immediately felt a little lighter. Clara chuckled softly as she watched us, then clapped her hands lightly.
"Good. You two can chat first. Mom has to go to work for a bit. There's an order of fabric that needs to be delivered to the market this morning."
She glanced briefly at Asta, then turned to me with a meaningful look. Clara's hand touched my arm for a moment, her fingers teasingly brushing my skin before she turned away.
"Asta, please take care of Leon and Aunt Vivian, okay? Mom won't be long."
Asta just smiled widely and nodded, his hand still casually resting on Clara's hip before he finally let go with clear reluctance.
"Alright, Auntie. Don't worry, I'll take care of Leon and Mom."
The three of us walked Clara to the front door. The cool morning air greeted us as soon as the door opened.
Clara turned one last time, giving Aunt Vivian a quick hug, then hugging me briefly — long enough for her soft breasts to press against my chest for a moment.
"Take care, sweetheart. Mommy will be back in the evening," she whispered in my ear before releasing the hug.
I nodded, still feeling the sweet scent of her body lingering on my clothes.
Clara stepped outside, her hips swaying gently beneath her tight dress as she walked along the footpath toward the village.
The three of us stood in front of the house, watching Clara's back as she moved farther away.
After just a few steps, Aunt Vivian lightly patted my shoulder.
"Come on, let's go for a walk. Auntie wants to tell you a lot about your past."
I nodded. The three of us began walking along the village footpath of Kalle Village.
The morning air was still cool, with sunlight gently filtering through the trees.
The houses around us were made of dark wood with thick thatched roofs, in a classic medieval European style.
Low doors, small wooden-framed windows, and thin smoke curling from some chimneys.
The village atmosphere felt peaceful, yet also foreign to me, who had just "been born" into this world.
Aunt Vivian immediately linked her arm with mine in a spoiled manner.
Her large, heavy breasts pressed slightly against my arm, the softness of her flesh clearly felt even through the thin fabric of her dress.
The scent of honey and cinnamon from her body wafted up every time she moved.
"Walk properly like this, Leon dear," she said while pointing at the ground in front of us.
"Look, there's a small hole there. Be careful, don't trip."
"There, this way. Follow Auntie properly."
I held back a smile. The corner of my mouth twitched slightly.
Aunt Vivian kept explaining all sorts of trivial things to me. At first, I just nodded along.
But when she started saying she wanted to fix my inside-out underwear, I couldn't hold it in anymore and began to complain.
"Auntie… I only lost some of my memories, I didn't turn into an idiot," I muttered quietly.
Hearing that, both Aunt Vivian and Asta looked surprised for a moment, then burst into hearty laughter.
Aunt Vivian playfully pinched my waist with her left hand, hard enough that I winced.
"Ouch! Auntie!"
"You naughty boy," she said with a chuckle, her voice full of amusement.
"Auntie was just worried. When you were little, you often fell into the mud and made your mom and me struggle to clean you up."
'Fell into the mud? That's pretty embarrassing… The original owner of this body was quite clumsy,' Leon thought as he walked casually.
On the other side, Asta walked relaxed beside us.
He looked cheerful with a wide smile, his attitude friendly and familiar — far from the "antagonist" impression that had first crossed my mind.
"Are you free tomorrow night, Leon?" he asked suddenly.
"I want to invite you to hang out."
I glanced at him.
Even though his appearance was like a netorare antagonist character — golden blond hair, muscular build, and a rather bold attitude — his tone sounded genuinely sincere. There was no sarcasm or mockery.
It was just a normal invitation from a cousin who wanted to have fun with his relative.
I felt a little relieved. Maybe my first impression had been too harsh.
"Tomorrow night? Sure, I'm in," I replied with a small smile.
Asta laughed in satisfaction and lightly patted my shoulder.
"Great! I'll pick you up later. We're gonna have fun together."
As we walked, Aunt Vivian kept hugging my arm even tighter, while Asta walked on the other side, occasionally explaining small things about the village in a relaxed tone.
For a moment, the atmosphere felt warm and close. I started to understand this world a little more clearly.
Until… as we passed a bend in the footpath beside a house, I saw something up ahead.
Something… strange.
