Rick stared at the glowing blue text floating in front of him.
[New occupation Unlocked]
Rick frowned slightly, as a flash of confusion crossing his face.
'New occupation? What exactly does the system mean by that?' Rick wondered.
He had no idea what this "occupation" thing was, but he was absolutely certain it was triggered thanks to Elena.
He wanted to check it, but guess it had to wait till he was alone.
So he dismissed the notification with some satisfaction reeling in his heart.
Thanks to Elena, he didn't even have to lift a finger, and the Ice Queen had just changed his status from unemployed to employed simply because he gave her the best orgasm of her life.
"Thanks Elena," Rick was not an ungrateful guy.
Elena blinked, her ice-blue eyes looking at him with a mix of absolute devotion and slight confusion, "You... You are welcome, I guess."
Rick stepped back from the granite counter, and picked up his crisp white shirt from the back of a leather bar stool. He slipped it on, buttoning it halfway up, leaving his chest partially exposed. He then threw his tailored charcoal jacket over his broad shoulders.
Then suddenly he thought of something and paused, instead of putting it on, he gently draped the jacket over her shoulders, covering her silk robe as he winked at her.
"Just a little reminder that last night wasn't a dream, Doc," Rick said with possessiveness, "And a reminder of exactly who you belong to."
"I belong to you," Elena whispered softly, her fingers tracing along his jacket, pulling it closer to her chest.
Rick smiled at her response and checked the time, "I need to get going," he announced.
"It's already past eight, and I have to head back to my apartment and sort a few things out."
Elena immediately hopped off the counter.
"I can drive you," Elena offered quickly, her voice sounded eager, "My car is right outside. It's the least I can do."
Rick put his hand over her shoulder, stopping her, "I will be fine, Elena. You stay here and take care of Maya for me."
"She is still knocked out on your living room sofa, and she is going to have a massive hangover when she wakes up."
Elena's expression faded when she heard him, and was replaced by a sudden, sharp look of suspicion.
She put her hand over her chest as she gently grabbed her by the collar and pulled him slightly towards him.
Her face was creeping in with jealousy.
"Speaking of Maya," Elena said, narrowing her eyes slightly, "What exactly were you two doing sneaking around the dark hospital garden last night?"
"Don't tell me..."
"Hahaha..." Rick shook his head as he looked at the jealousy all over her face. He stepped closer to her and slid his hand along her waist, pulling her closer to him.
"Relax, Doc," Rick smirked, leaning down so his lips were just inches from hers, "We were just playing detective."
"She saw your fiance acting suspicious, so we followed him there. Nothing you need to worry about."
Elena's breath hitched as she felt his breath against hers.
"If you say so," Elena murmured like a mosquito, not wanting to dwell on it any longer.
"Then allow me to say my fairwell," Rick let her go and turned around, as he walked out of the kitchen and towards the front door while Elena followed behind him.
But just as he reached the door handle, he stopped.
He stood there for a second before he turned around sheepishly and looked back at Elena.
"Actually, Elena," Rick called out, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment, "Ummm... You see things happened kind of unexpectedly... I don't quite have the money for the taxi."
Elena's stern, mature face bloomed into a warm, genuine smile.
Seeing the cheeky guy suddenly asking for taxi money made him look incredibly human and endearing to her.
"Of course," Elena said softly.
She looked around and quickly spotted her bag.
She grabbed it, and pulled out a thick, heavy stack of cash. It had to be at least a couple ofthousand dollars.
She held the entire stack out to him without a single second of hesitation.
Rick looked at the massive stack of money, but he didn't take it all. He simply reached out and pulled a single $100 bill from the top of the pile.
"This is plenty," Rick smiled, and before she could insist, he stepped forward,.and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight, warm hug.
"You have the potential to be a great Sugar Mommy," He pressed her deeply against his chest, feeling her breasts squash against him, as he leaned down and kissed her left cheek tenderly.
"Thank you," Rick whispered softly, "I will see you soon."
He pulled away, opened the heavy oak door, and stepped out into the bright morning sun leaving Elena standing in the hallway, completely charmed and a foolish smile plastered across her face as she hugged his jacket tight against her.
Soon Rick stepped out of the taxi and was back to his dirty, ugly neighbourhood.
It was a stark contrast to Elena's big and elegant mansion in that posh locality.
But Rick didn't care now. He wasn't going to be living here much longer anyway.
He quickly walked into his apartment building where the hallway smelled of stale smoke and cheap cooking oil.
The elevator was as always out of order and he had to climb all the way to his floor. While it used to be hard and strenuous earlier, today he climbed the stairs with great ease without breaking a sweat.
But as he turned the corner to his apartment, he stopped dead in his tracks.
Sitting on the dirty floor leaning against his locked front door, was Emily.
She looked absolutely pathetic. She was still wearing the tight red party dress from last night, but it was heavily wrinkled and stained.
Her dark hair were still a wild mess and her mascara had dried in thick, ugly black streaks down her pale cheeks.
She was hugging her knees to her chest, shivering slightly in the cold, damp hallway.
She had been sitting there waiting for him all night.
And when she finally heard his footsteps, Emily slowly raised her head.
"Rick?" Emily gasped, as her bloodshot, puffy eyes widened when she saw him.
She scrambled to her feet, swaying slightly as her legs struggled to support her.
She looked at his crisp white shirt, the shiny watch on her wrist, and the tailored trousers.
She looked completely confused, but she didn't care about his clothes right now. She just wanted her emotional safety net back.
"Rick, where were you?" Emily cried, taking a step towards him.
"You told me to wait here! You said you were just going to grab a pack of beer! I waited on this freezing floor all night! Why didn't you come back? Why didn't you answer my calls or reply to any of my messages?"
Before Rick could say anything, a sharp, mechanical chime echoed inside Rick's skull.
The translucent blue screen materialized right in the space between them.
