Sez, who was the princess in the Imperial House of Rowayne of the Den Helder Empire, was killed by her brother, Rayton, who caused the coup. Rayton was discriminated against in the empire for the prophecy that the monster whose hair is black as night and eyes as red as blood will end the whole world, and he had the same appearance as the monster of the prophecy.

Though her head was cut by his sword and lost the chance to escape the empire, somehow she was magically sent back to the past. When she had a second chance to change her fate, she decided to become friendly with Rayton to survive.


Belkiel led the way to the underground waterway beneath the temple. 


As they descended deeper, the air grew increasingly damp. Furthermore, the dark underground waterways were devoid of any light, save for the lamp held by Belkiel.


‘So, he was sealed in the heart of darkness...’ 


Rayton easily surmised the reason for the secrecy surrounding the seal.


It was to hide the existence of ‘him’, someone whose identity couldn’t even be known. But what kind of being could he possibly be?


"Your Imperial Majesty," Belkiel spoke in a low voice, "have you ever heard of King Harraice I?" 


A hint of remorse flickered across Belkiel's face as he asked.


"Why do you ask?" Rayton inquired, his mind drifting back to a past hallucination.


"Let me ask you something else then, Your Imperial Majesty. Do you believe in god?"


"I don't believe in anything like that," Rayton replied firmly.


Belkiel offered a fleeting smile at the response. 


"Do you not believe, or are you afraid?"
