Chapter 50
The Ijornt Empire was very hot, which was why it had been dubbed the ‘Empire of the Sun.’ The sun rose fast and set late, and winter was nonexistent.
Eton was headed to Mount Alkmaar, which was north of Ijornt. The mountain was the complete opposite of the rest of the empire as the snow there never melted. The air was chilly, even from the base of the mountain, and the population was scarce due to the presence of many ferocious wild animals.
People insisted that the mountain was sacred, they also said a God was living there. How else could all of this be possible? They weren’t wrong. There was a God in Alkmaar.
"It's me."
Eton was standing before a shabby house, which looked humbler than the home of a peasant.
‘Well, Belkiel used to like simple things.’
"Open the door. It's me, Eton."
Soon enough, the door squeaked open. A young boy, who looked to be around fourteen or fifteen, was holding the doorknob. Of course, his body was a lot older than that.
