The atmosphere was cold. It didn't matter whether Sez was mentally seventeen years old, she was legitimately terrified. Yulia had a serious look on her face, Bern was standing next to her, and a miserable-looking Lilien... Of course, Yerna was also standing there, biting her lips. Sez lowered her head like she was a sinner. This was the worst situation possible.
Sez didn't expect things to get this bad... Rayton, however, didn't seem too scared as he stood next to Sez. Slowly, Yulia stood up from her seat and walked towards Rayton. She suddenly slapped him across the cheek. Sez closed her eyes tightly as the sharp sound rang out through the hall.
'I shouldn't have said anything. I should've just taken the beating, even if it made me a cripple.'
It was too late for regrets.
"You vulgar thing."
Yulia's voice was full of disgust.
"Clearly, you still don't know your place. How dare you do that to my daughter!”
