Tang Han remains trapped between Teio and King Halo, with both girls clinging tightly to one of his arms. Since everyone else is still due to arrive later, he realizes nobody is going to rescue him anytime soon, and he panics internally. Even though the two girls are clearly competing, they are at least careful enough not to actually hurt him. That makes him even more uneasy, because it suggests they're conscious of how much stronger horse girls are than humans and are deliberately controlling themselves.
Tang Han tries not to think too hard about Teio's claim that she only sees him as an older brother. If that is true, then he might still be safe. But if it is not true, then the future looks grim. Unable to risk struggling free, he mentally shuts down.
The rivalry between Teio and King Halo escalates. Teio questions why King Halo is holding onto Tang Han at all. King Halo awkwardly claims that she also sees him as an older brother, so her behavior is equally justified. Teio then proudly declares that Tang Han's favorite "little sister" must be her, Tokai Teio, the future undefeated Triple Crown horse girl, and asks Tang Han to confirm it. Tang Han, still frozen, says nothing, which Teio happily interprets as agreement.
King Halo refuses to yield and insists that Tang Han's favorite little sister is obviously the first-rate King Halo. Again, Tang Han remains silent, so she also takes that as agreement. The two girls then start openly arguing, each claiming to be the one Tang Han likes most, and both get even more physically clingy while demanding that he say something.
When he still does not answer, they finally notice something is wrong. They let go, and with no support, Tang Han falls backward onto the grass: he has actually fainted.
About half an hour later, he wakes up with his head resting on something soft and a pleasant scent nearby. He opens his eyes and finds Rice Shower giving him a lap pillow. Half-awake and thinking he must still be dreaming, Tang Han relaxes completely and starts nuzzling against her, acting in an openly affectionate and unguarded way that he would never allow himself in full possession of his senses.
Rice Shower becomes flustered but doesn't push him away. In his dazed state, Tang Han keeps doting on her and says that he would like her no matter what, even if she turned into the sort of girl he normally fears. Rice Shower is deeply moved, but before the moment can go further, Tang Han hears Teio's voice nearby.
That instantly shocks him fully awake.
He looks around and realizes this is not a dream at all: Teio, King Halo, Urara, and Mejiro McQueen are all present, and they have clearly seen everything. He then looks back at Rice Shower, who is gazing at him with teary eyes.
At that point, Tang Han can only force out an awkward line, basically trying to laugh it off and ask whether they would believe him if he claimed he had just been joking.
