Chapter 74 - Chapter 72: If You’re Tired, Just Go to Sleep — No Problem

"No way! Absolutely no way!"

Tang Han looked up at Hayakawa Tazuna's flushed face in terror, refusing with all his might to believe what was happening.

The person he trusted most—Miss Tazuna—had actually lured him to this remote place where no one would hear him cry for help, pinned him in a corner, and—

Tang Han could not understand it. If Miss Tazuna really was here to have her way with him, then why hadn't Lucky warned him earlier? Didn't she have that alarm system that could tell whether danger was coming?

Tang Han: Lucky! What's going on?! Didn't the alarm go off?!

Lucky: Beep beep beep!

Lucky: Boss! The alarm is only going off now!

Tang Han: What?!

So Miss Tazuna really was here to pounce on him?!

But she had already blocked his only escape route—what use was an alarm now?!

Lucky: Boss, the light is yellow! Yellow!

Tang Han: Yellow?

A yellow warning light meant Tang Han was not in immediate danger yet. He was in an intermediate state, and what he chose to do next would determine whether his future turned toward safety or disaster.

He had encountered something similar before—the question of whether or not to watch Rice Shower acting cute. If he chose correctly, nothing bad happened. If he chose wrong, Rice Shower might turn into mixed grain, and who knew when he would get stabbed in the back and locked in a basement.

So now he was facing another choice. And this answer would determine whether Miss Tazuna really would jump him.

"Tang Han, Trainer~"

While Tang Han was still trying to think of what to do, Tazuna crouched down and met his eyes, smiling gently with a dreamy look in hers.

"I want to ask you for one thing. Could you take off your clothes and let me smell that scent on you one more time?"

Even though she looked so kind and harmless, to Tang Han she was more terrifying than ten billion Tokai Teios put together.

"Gk—!"

Tang Han clutched his clothes tighter, preparing for desperate resistance.

But a human's feeble strength could never overpower a horse girl—let alone Tazuna, who was stronger than ordinary horse girls, practically a super-horse girl. If she really wanted to do something, Tang Han could only resign himself to being taken. Resistance was impossible.

Seeing how frightened he was, Tazuna hurried to reassure him.

"Tang Han, Trainer, please don't worry. I mean no harm." She placed a hand over her ample chest and looked at him sincerely. "I really only want to smell that scent again. I absolutely won't do anything excessive."

"Just smell it?" Tang Han's brain worked at full speed.

No.

His constitution was basically horse-girl catnip. Miss Tazuna had only smelled him once by accident, and she had spent an entire week obsessing over it, even going so far as to trap him here just to ask for another sniff.

If he let her smell him again, she would only become even more addicted.

And once she was no longer satisfied with merely smelling him, she would not be asking politely anymore. She would knock him out and drag him into some dark basement.

So for the sake of his life, Tang Han's answer could only be—

"I refu—"

Lucky: Beep beep beep! Boss! The warning light is turning red!

"—refuse to deny the beautiful Miss Tazuna's request."

Tang Han changed course so fast his voice nearly cracked.

"Smell away. Sniff all you want. No problem at all."

His smile was stiff, but inside he was panicking.

Help! So he really had to let her smell him? He felt doomed.

"Really? Thank you, Tang Han, Trainer~" Tazuna's eyes lit up.

She had assumed he would refuse and that she would have to resort to force. But unexpectedly, he was being so easy to talk to.

If she had known, she would have asked directly from the beginning instead of suffering for a whole week.

But at last she was going to smell that wonderful scent again.

Her heart pounded with excitement.

"Then let's begin right now."

She reached out, intending to pull back his hood.

"Wait!"

Tang Han grabbed her hand in time.

"What is it?" Tazuna tilted her head in confusion.

Tang Han explained, "Miss Tazuna, you can smell me, but just like before, you have to close your eyes and cover your ears first. Please…"

He pressed his palms together and pleaded with her instead.

Letting her smell him was already his absolute bottom line. He could not let her see his S-rank face or hear his S-rank voice too.

And because he knew full well he was no match for her, all he could do was beg.

"Of course." Tazuna nodded.

She really was curious about what Tang Han looked like, but at the moment, it was only his scent that fascinated her, so she had no objection to his condition.

"Tang Han, Trainer, I'm ready."

Tazuna obediently closed her eyes, covered her ears beneath her cap, and sat down on the floor like a child waiting for a reward.

Seeing her now unable to see or hear, a bold thought suddenly flashed through Tang Han's mind.

Should he run while he had the chance? If he could just make it to a crowded area, Miss Tazuna would not be able to do anything to him.

Lucky: Boss! It's turning red again!

Tang Han froze, then lowered the leg he had just lifted.

Damn it! Did he seriously have to let Miss Tazuna smell him today?!

"Fine! Let's just do it!"

His heart hardened. Tang Han pulled back his hood.

The moment he did, something seemed to twitch beneath the green cap on Tazuna's head.

"Sniff, sniff…"

Tazuna leaned close. Their faces were now less than an inch apart.

Her delicate nose twitched as she savored the scent spilling from Tang Han now that the Doctor's Coat was no longer concealing him.

"So it really is this scent…"

She felt supreme delight.

Sweet and gentle, like a carrot cultivated with the sweetest honey in the world. It soothed her, yet also made her crave more.

Tang Han, Trainer—why are you so fragrant?

"Ah…"

Her cheeks flushed deeper. After being filled with satisfaction, she felt a strange emptiness bloom in her chest.

Only smelling him… somehow it still was not enough.

Tang Han, Trainer—what did he actually look like?

Her curiosity grew.

"Tang Han, Trainer, may I touch your face?" Tazuna asked suddenly.

Tang Han did not understand the request at all.

Touch his face? Why?

"If you don't answer, I'll take that as a yes~" Tazuna said with a smile.

Tang Han immediately grabbed her hand and shook it side to side, trying to signal refusal.

But Tazuna completely misunderstood.

"You're waving? That means welcome, then. Thank you, Tang Han, Trainer."

She placed both hands on his face.

Tang Han: ???

No, how could that possibly count as welcoming her?! She was deliberately interpreting it wrong!

But Tang Han could not even complain out loud now, because her hands had already left her ears. If he made even the slightest sound, she would hear him.

So he swallowed his frustration and could only watch as Tazuna gently caressed him.

She lightly pinched his cheek in surprise.

"So Tang Han, Trainer, you're this young. I thought you were some veteran in his fifties or sixties."

She ran her fingers over his hair, nose, lips, ears, and the shape of his face, getting a rough sense of what he looked like.

He seemed… pretty handsome.

"Ah…"

Another warm breath escaped her.

Still… still not enough…

Her stomach felt oddly tight and sour.

"Tang Han, Trainer, may I hug you? Mm, you say yes? Thank you."

She did not even wait for a response before pulling him into her arms.

Tang Han: ???

She was not even pretending to wait for an answer anymore?!

He trembled with anger—though fear was a big part of it too.

Hey! Don't push your luck!

First touching his face, now hugging him—what next, horse-girl jumping?

Tang Han: Lucky, help me here!

Lucky: Boss, it's not that I don't want to help, it's just…

Lucky: The warning light is green~

Tang Han: ?

Tang Han: That alarm of yours has to be fake! I feel like I'm about to die here…

Lucky: Boss, you have to trust me. If this keeps up, you'll definitely be safe, so don't worry too much.

Tang Han: How am I supposed not to worry?!

Now their bodies were pressed together. They could both feel each other's warmth. If his clothes came off, horse-girl jumping could begin immediately. And given the vast difference in their physical strength, Tang Han had zero chance of escaping.

In this hopeless situation, with Lucky refusing to help, the only thing left for Tang Han was to pray that Miss Tazuna would not suddenly snap and force herself on him right there.

…Wait. Lucky was a god. So what was the point of praying?

Realizing this, Tang Han sank into despair. He stopped thinking entirely and slumped against the wall, letting Tazuna hold him tighter and tighter.

"Ah…"

As she breathed in his sweet scent, Tazuna slowly relaxed.

Tang Han, Trainer's body was so warm… like a heater in the middle of winter… she wanted to stay beside him forever…

It had been such a long time since she had felt like this.

Ever since becoming Tracen Academy's exclusive secretary, she had been getting up earlier than everyone else and going home later than everyone else. She always looked bright and energetic on the outside, but in truth, her spirit had long since been worn down to exhaustion.

Still, for the sake of all the lovely girls at the academy, Tazuna had kept going. She had always believed she would simply work until her body finally gave out.

She thought that was what the rest of her life would be.

But a week ago, she accidentally caught the scent on Tang Han, Trainer.

That sweet fragrance had felt like someone pouring a jug of pure water over her tired heart, washing away every stain and bringing her a kind of lightness she had never known before.

And a lighter heart meant happier, more efficient work.

So Tazuna wanted to smell him again.

Just once more.

If she could, then she would be able to keep working for the lovely girls just a little longer, and keep seeing their smiles.

"Mmm…" Tazuna smiled and hugged Tang Han a little more tightly.

Tang Han, Trainer had exceeded all her expectations. Not only was he wonderfully fragrant, he was warm too.

Holding him felt like coming home, like embracing family…

All the weariness that had built up inside her slowly seeped away in that warmth.

"Ah…"

Tazuna completely relaxed, leaning against Tang Han's chest without moving.

Her full breasts rose and fell gently against his ribs, damp with a faint sheen of heat.

After about a minute, Tang Han finally noticed something was different.

He lowered his head and heard the sound of Tazuna's slow, even breathing.

Miss Tazuna… had fallen asleep…

"Oh?"

Once he realized she was asleep, Tang Han immediately pulled his hood back on.

He watched her warily for another full minute, and only then did he finally confirm that she was truly asleep.

He had never imagined this would be the outcome.

"Heh…"

A victorious smile spread across Tang Han's face.

Now there was only one thing left to do.

Run!

However, Tazuna was still holding him—very tightly. He would have to wriggle free without waking her.

He reached out and tried to pry apart her arms.

"Mom… don't…"

As if sensing something, Tazuna hugged him even tighter.

Tang Han froze and looked quietly at the sleeping girl in his arms.

"Mom… don't…"

A tear slipped from the corner of Tazuna's eye and traced a line down her beautiful cheek before falling onto his clothes.

Tang Han frowned.

Not because of the tear wetting his clothes, but because in that sleepy murmur, he heard a trace of sorrow.

Had Miss Tazuna's mother died in a car accident, leaving them separated forever?

Or had she been abandoned as a child, forced to grow up alone?

Tang Han's mind spun through countless possibilities.

But no matter which one it was, it all came down to the same thing:

a daughter longing for her mother.

So that cheerful, kind, lively Miss Tazuna was actually a fragile little girl who still missed her mother…

She must have been very lonely.

"…Sigh."

Tang Han could not help but let out a soft sigh. He reached up and gently stroked Tazuna's hair.

It was not that he had suddenly become sentimental. It was just that he truly hated seeing other people hurting. Whenever he saw someone in pain, he felt awful himself.

For the moment, he gave up on escaping and let Tazuna keep holding him.

He would stay a little longer, let her sleep a bit more, and leave afterward.

But then Tazuna mumbled again:

"Mom, stop rushing me… I'll definitely find a good husband… and have lots of children… how many? More than twenty, maybe… I really like kids…"

Tang Han: …

He suddenly felt that maybe leaving as quickly as possible was still the best option.
